I have ALWAYS hated most of the Armor in TES for GOOD reason

Post » Sat Jun 09, 2012 12:34 am

I went heavy armor so I went from iron to steel to dwarven to ebony to dragon. I didn't make daedric armor because I thought it was a bit inappropriate for a Imperial dragonborn. Too many flashbacks from Oblivion. And dragon has a never ending supply of materials from the various winged rats who continually ambush me wherever I go. I like the idea of wearing their bones as armor.

I like the look of glass (on the light side) and elven except for the helmets. I like ebony and steel and find dragon decent looking. For a Nord I would think iron, steel, blades steel, and draconic would all be good choices. Dwemer looks a little clunky to me but it's all right. If you're not smithing and making your own armor and you are going heavy, the blades armor you get on the main quest is a great choice. Good looking and good stats.

No one is forcing you to play this game.

Aside from that, I was impressed with the amount of different armor they gave us this time...who cares if its not how "you" would make it. Go download some MODS thats what they're there for.

I like the look of the heavy armors. Both the more mundane looking ones and the more exotic ones.

Edit: Well, except for Dragonplate. I won't say it was ugly, but it was somehow underwhelming.

This has already been said many times, but I feel a need to repeat it, to ingrain it into some peopples ignorant (not an insult) minds.

To highlight the problem with the Dwemer armour design, http://images.travelpod.com/users/socks/1.1255487143.tin-man.jpg is a picture of me in Riverwood chopping some wood.

Once again, you speak with some self-taught authority yet have no factual proof behind anything you type.

Stop bashing the guy, it is pretty reasonable that he wants a civil debate. Seeing how you can not handle that says quite a bit about your charter. You also remind me of an old friend, acted the same way until a fight; they cut his toes off for he was extremely cocky. Still do not blame them.

Back onto topic. The armour tends to vary due to the region, the materials tend to stay the same.

Personally I see nothing wrong with it, if anything it adds more respect to the current region you are in.

As to comparing one fantasy to another, that is rather odd. All it would be doing is comparing one made up world to another made up world or to a real world. It does not fit, nor ever will. So basing it off another area would be rather.. Pointless.
