I'm really looking forward to this Finally my own mansion in the wilderness where I can adopt children and have armies of bards Ho ho he he he Break that lute across my knee and if the bard shall choose to fight then I'll set his pay check alight
Some other did tough, especially after the Game Jam Video.
Seriously, if you don't like it why do you care? You don't need to buy it and there was no hype raised for it. It is a small DLC, they don' need to be anything impressive (unlike expansions and High Budget DLC)

It's not a point of "having to buy it". It's a point of what direction is the company going? It's a point of pumping out small dlc's (when I thought they were going away from that) especially when their last dlc isn't even out for all platforms yet. This is why it's an ugly thing. Now there is the small satisfaction that it's Beth's way of getting through the exclusivity deal with MS.. but it's still just an odd odd thing to witness.

A lot of people wanted adoption and house creation and they have decided to give it to Xbox users Pc already had mods for them and PS3 is still having problems with dawnguard

Because they've completely reneged on their stance of not releasing fluff content and expecting people to cough up for it. They explicitly stated horse armour was a mistake they weren't going to repeat, and were going to actually make expansions as opposed to this superfluous rubbish.
So instead of a new province or questline we get this...at least its a reasonable price ($4).
They are probably working on a real Dlc and just giving us something simple to satisfy us... Now all we need is the marry Serana DlC They could probably charge 200 MP for it and people would buy it so they could live in a farm with Serana a bunch o kids and some bards (including Cicero)
... Oh for goodness sake, that video's not for real, is it?
This is what I thought when I first saw it. I was convinced it was just a mod for PC that someone had made a trailer for and given it the name "Hearthfire" to boost the view count.
You know what? This is good. This will be the last timed exclusive, and it isn't something major. After Hearthfire we will be able to get the DLC together at the same time.

Assuming they ever work out how to make a DLC for the PS3.

Why would they have to charge for that? Just add it in the next patch, theres seriously no need to nickel and dime us like that.
Now that i think about it, what was the entire point of these threads ? Why have all the speculation? Why not just come out and say after you've initially announced it: "Hey guys this is just a minor housing expansion to hold you over until December not a new questline or anything." Wtf Beth, really...
