Hearthfire - Thread #3

Post » Fri Nov 16, 2012 7:51 pm

C'mon Dev's, Dawnguard was good. But give users the ability to get different angles on fight and doing quest. Also, Add more armor types

http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85634522 - Hearth Fire TARR.
Zenimax (Bethesda) have registered "Hearth Fire" under "Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices".

This leads me to believe this is the second Xbox 360 timed-exclusive dlc for Skyrim.

http://tarr.uspto.gov/servlet/tarr?regser=serial&entry=85546517 - Dawnguard TARR.
The exact same method happened for the Dawnguard dlc.

Folks, Hearth Fire is the next dlc.

Thanks to user Phyber for pointing this out!

You can read the in-game book (Book Nine of 2920, The Last Year of the First Era) about Hearth Fire http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:2920,_Hearth_Fire,_v9

Perhaps this means https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=DGIgXeGC6Dg#t=106s from the GameJam?

Acrobatics has a glitched leveling system, it always gains xp when you're running and/or jumping, and everyone is always running and jumping

I would also love to be running from the enemies and do a sweet front flip over a fort wall.

We need the hand to hand and acrobatics back. Vampires should have claws, be able to jump on roofs, also when they normally sprint they should move as fast as if they were using whirl wind sprint. What if one of the perks in a acrobatic tree for skyrim was no fall damage, imaging jumping off the throat of the world.

the oblivions is a new form of morrowind then skyrim is intended to be diff from oblivion in every way because its skyrim there will always be changes adapt to the changes and find new ways to make it fun instead of holding on the the past success i assume there should be a lot of dlc content for skyrim hopefully dawnguard should be the appetizer for the real dlc to come think of ways to upgrade from the mechanics from what we have now instead of throwing the old ones back in might as well make a oblivion part 2 and scrap skyrim if all we want is the mechanics from oblivion

If Hearthfire = Spell Creation
then care;
else don't care.

Its going to be like the spell tomes where for Oblivion, just something short as I said before in between DLC. Hopefully though it will involve the psijic order.

if they brought acrobatics back they should allow you do more with it, for instance I'm sure most here have heard of Dishonored? Well the character is able to climb up on top of structures in first-person view, I thought that was really neat even though the concept seems so simple, it reminded me of Assassin's Creed and then I thought maybe if they bring back Acrobatics that they could allow the character to be agile (as in allow the player to perform dodges in combat) and athletic similar to Assassin's Creed/Dishonored that allows the person to scale buildings/hang from ledges/etc. I think this would add more depth to acrobatics as a whole and it will open up newer options for players should they decide to level the skill (I love perks that actually give the character new abilities (quick reflexes, silent roll, etc) instead of just passive boosts to damage/block/spell cost reduction/etc). A possible way for the player to level it up could be allowing them to run through an obstacle course or do pull ups lol or something like that. Main idea is just I think acrobatics would be more awesome than just being able to jump higher (the dodge was a nice ability get, not gonna lie there).

If its about magic and it doesn't involve the psijic order I will be very upset.

Why is the entire thread about Hearthfire, about acrobatics? It's been discussed to death, acrobatics is staying out, period. Maybe it'll make a return in future Elder Scrolls games, but Skyrim was so heavily designed around it not being in, there isn't even a chance of seeing it.

Its a madhouse...

I imagine with a name like Hearthfire we'll see alot of warmer enviornments. I'm actually predicting the dynamic seasons from the GameJam video will make it in. As for what else, it's pretty much impossible to say. I don't forsee it being about spell creation or anything magic heavy. Hearthfire envokes an image of a big roaring fire in a warm Nordic hall, not so much a blue glowing room with magic sprites floating about.
