Not all short people are angry.

True, some of them are jolly circus folk.

I am 5'3". Recently, I've been feeling really down about my height. Tall guys don't care about their girlfriends' height, and they are manly. Me? I'm gonna grow to be 5'7", if that... I hate it. Actors are usually always tall. It's just better. I know the Methusaleh gene in short people lets them live longer, but I'd rather be 6'2" and live for 75 years then 5'7" and live to 85. I've heard that tall people have a hard time getting clothes and such, but still...
Can someone tall tell me what it's like? Am I missing out..? :(
Thanks.

I am 6'2" and trust me. you are not missing out on anything. It sounds to me that you are going through puberty, talking about growing and how tall men don't care about the height of their girlfriends and what not. My advice, don't care there are more important things to worry about at your age like school or getting a girlfriend. If you think your height is holding back with the ladies, trust me, it isn't. Although I am tall now I never used to be, I was around your height in year 8 and 9 and, this may sound cocky but, I had loads of girilfriends (By loads I mean about 5). Believe me when I say that you do not want to go near the girls who only care about your looks they aren't worth your time, in fact, they don't deserve it. Anyway, just don't worry about it man everything will work out, perhaps not the way you expect it too but it will work out. And you'll love it.

That awkward moment when you start searching the forums for a post by a user for the sole purpose of finding out what his avatar is.

Exactly. Now its me and the Fish, standing as opposed factions, competing to creep randoms off this forum.

Coincidentally, today there was a sub in my biology class who was about 6'8". I went up to ask him a question and I hesitated for a second due to being in shock at how far up he was compared to me. After class we had a little discussion, man to man, about our massive height differences. He said that there are very little advantages: seeing over crowds and his kids always know where he is... But he told me he had to go to three JC Penney's to find his shirt size. He told me that even if I don't grow tall, 6'8" is not a height to be longing for! :)

I'm just under 6'3, by no means a giant, but I have to say that 5'8 is a much more average height. If you look up athletes or actors heights you will find that many of them are in the 5'8-5'10 range but tend to list themselves as taller. Height doesnt do much, women will say that want tall, dark, handsome, money and nice but in reality they will take short, pale, ugly, broke and [censored] if they see something else. You'll never find a girl who will reject you for being too short.
