they might be giants : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uo_AmcFcJCY

80's pop rock band, that is now mostly into making music for children

not saying they sound band, i like that song in particular, but they are certainly something a hipster would listen too.

Boston

Came here for some giggles, but now I'm confused. Hispter as in unknown or hipster as in...eh subculture (I'll avoid comparation)? I assume it's the former because ska and reggae has nothing to do with Hipsters.

And because Boston is neither unknown nor hipster, if they don't know about Boston and live in America, I can only be sad for those people.

Even I know about Boston. It's where Dropkick Murphys and Big D And The Kids Table come from.

Also, can I get some sort of "most hipster avatar" award? I took the picture myself, which I feel just adds to my street forum cred.

I saw florence and the machine on the cobert report once, so that kind of ruined their hipster status in my eyes.

That whole CD is pretty great. The only problem is their name makes it weird to talk about them.

Yeah, its raises eyebrows when I talk about them. Plus, I can't show their cds because all of them are such mashes of many musical styles.

Awesome, listening to some Big Bad Voodoo Daddy right now. Any other bands like these two - BBVD & Cherry Poppin' Daddies?

There's Several.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHWcN5YxuYc&ob=av3e This song isn't their best, but it's the best quality I could find.

Royal Crown Revue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqvLsLew-3Y.

Squirrel Nut Zippers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VdAt4qWvz_8, again, isn't their best, but it's good quality
