Woman gamer here. I think I'm too old to be called a girl. I think that stops when you're no longer carded to buy booze. :-)

I am a female from Texas, and became familiar with TES during Morrowind. I really liked it, and love Oblivion even more. I am definately stoked for Skyrim.

I'm a woman who fell in love with Oblivion the moment I saw it and still feel that way today. From all the polls I've watched here, it looks as if around 10% of the fan base is female. That number has been growing too, I'm happy to say. See you in Skryim. I'll be in the Tavern having a glass of wine in between dragon encounters.

I see your point but I honestly think there are more guys representing themsevles on the forums than girls. In other words, I think the percentage of male players likely to be here on the boards is higher than the percentage of female players, so although that poll says around 9%, I'm betting the actual percentage of girls that will play Skyrim is more like 15 or 20.

How many guys out there know girls that are going to play but that don't post on these boards? My wife is one.

I am a grandma, so technically not a girl any longer. I am female and a grandma, and I build my own computers. I love to play games online. I normally play MMORPG's with my daughter, who is 35 now. So, she is not a girl any longer either. Someday I hope to play with my granddaughters, although they are girls, 2 and 3 years old. I think too young yet to play.

I believe you will find a lot of young girls that will enjoy the game.

My wife and my two oldest daughters ( 21 and 17) play Oblivion and my younger one plays Morrowind (11). I expect family patipation in Skyrim also but the advlts will review first of course.

How many guys out there know girls that are going to play but that don't post on these boards?

There are five in my household: one advlt and four young advlts, aged 18 to 21. All of them play Morrowind and Oblivion and they are all looking forward to playing Skyrim. Only one of them is even registered on these boards. She doesn't post. But she's here lurking in this forum every day.
