Oh, I forgot to mention that I got my 10 year old half brother to really like the show, and my 14 year old step-brother isn't against watching a few episodes with me.

I wanted to bring up the poll they had over on EQD. I voted for Dash, and her hair won of course, but I'm actually conflicted now on whose hair I like best.

Overall, AJ's design is my favorite. The little ropes that tie off the end of her hair and tail, her hat, her green eyes, HER FRECKLES. It's just perfect. I want to retract my vote for best mane and give it to Applejack.

Then again, Dash's color scheme is just awesome, and really compliments her facial expressions I think.

But Pinkie's mane looks like cotton candy, and those big blue eyes give me diabetes.

Rarity's mane is just straight-up beautiful, with it's graceful style.

Fluttershy's mane is long and flowing, and reminds me of anime-hair, which is a good thing.

Lastly Twilight's mane... I don't know I'm out of ideas.

I'm kind of torn between Twilight's mane and Fluttershy's to be honest. I like Fluttershy's cause of the sleekness of it and as you said cowboy it looks like anime hair. Twilight's is definitely a fav of mine due to the uniqueness of it and how its multi-colored. Rarity would be a runner up due to the elegance of it along with how the marshmallow pony keeps it always styled to perfection.
