Another question in regards to ME2's ending and ME3
Spoiler
What happens if you die at the end of ME2

Spoiler
You basically start again with a fresh Shep and decide on a new character with 'set' decisions made

Could someone tells me what happens with Cerberus, I don't care about spoilers so go nuts.

Spoiler
As far as I know, the Illusive Man becomes indoctrinated like Saren from ME1 and you can convince him to off himself. I think they just fall to the wayside at that point.

Spoiler
He basically asks for it. He thinks he can control Reaper tech and Reapers, indoctrinates/implants his own troops, does hideous experiments on thousands of civilians, tries to take over the Citadel & assassinate the Council, screws up Shepard's attempt to get a vital Plot Device, and then his base takes an entire Earth fleet to the face.

That's what I'm saying, they set-up all that [censored] with Cerberus in the last game and as soon as I read that they were the antagonists... - as if they were sharing a stage with the Reapers - well I wasn't happy.

Christ I can't imagine what happens to Udina, he was always a bit prissy and smug so I guess he deserve's to be killed as some henious villain. That seems to be how morality works.

Spoiler
A Prothean VI you run into suggests that the Reapers have done similar stuff before - they sneakily indoctrinate/trick some locals to be a distraction, screwing up the chances of the various civilizations to mount an effective defense. Divide and conquer, as it were. And it works - Cerberus ends up making everything a heck of a lot worse.

Oh, and Udina turns out to be working with Cerberus. He's a central part of the Citadel takeover, and gets shot by Shep while trying to trick the councilors into thinking Shep is a Cerberus agent, so that they'll follow him into an ambush. Up until then, he'd actually been shown as a pretty stand-up guy, working hard to back Shep and help Earth.

"Think I'll set up a statue; Bronze this gun and place it right here so everyone knows I'm better then the great Commander Shepard."

I'll admit, up until that point I thought Garrus was a pretty chill guy.. But now I can understand why everyone is in a bromance with him.

Inflation. Price increases. The world economy. Etc. Honestly, I'm surprised that the $50 price point has held as long as it has.... very few other common products keep the same general cost over 5-10 years.

("But why aren't console games $10 more?" Different market pressures and audiences, maybe? I'd bet on the price increasing with the next gen of consoles.... they probably don't want to push it up without the "excuse" of "but it's better now!" to keep the consumers from revolting too much.)

Main reason is simple greed

Game makers get more profit dollars per unit sold selling a PC download version for $40 than they get selling a console retail dvd version for $60 (actually my estimate is 2X profit). So, they make a LOT of profit charging $60 for pc download version, and too many dummies keep paying it (and paying that extra $$ to be beta testers as well!!)

That scene became my instant favorite, along with Javik meeting some of the people on the citadel, especially the Hanar.

I want the From Ashes DLC. It just seems interesting. However I haven't been able to get it because I can't buy any "Bioware Points". Every time I enter my card details it says that I can't use it and I should try another card. This confuses me as I know I have money on it.

Prepaid card? The Bioware store site, I think, does a card security check based off the mailing address of the credit card.... which you'd only have on a normal CC. Prepaid cards don't have anything like that. (I ran into the same issue trying to use a rebate Visa Card that I got from building my PC).

Solution - the EA/Origin store doesn't care. And sells Bioware points. I was able to grab some points off that shop with my rebate card.

Now, if that isn't the problem.... then I'm not sure what the answer is. :)

Ok, I was sort of expecting Vega to be a dumb brute, but he hardly was. He wasn't particularly special, just an above average grunt, fighting because he's good at it. He's perfectly happy to be along for the ride. I'm not getting all of this hate towards him. The only squad member I found annoying was Ashley, and even she was pretty cool at times.

I'm thinking of doing a play through of all three games again, but I'm going to wait until it's summer.

Spoiler
And how exactly would an MMO work now, if all of the relays are destroyed?

No, this is my debit card. The one hooked into my bank account. Neither the website nor origin will accept the card. I'm going to try using Paypal to get points if all else fails.

I was just coming to talk about that.

"We just want to release awesome stuff. Players, please give us a chance. Judge our games based on what they are. Judge the DLC based on what it is. Stop thinking you're a producer and telling us when and where we should be building our content."

Ok, so if that's true, why don't they just put it in the game?

God, it's so irritating, that this DEVELOPER is defending day one DLC, and her stance is "we just want to release awesome stuff". And also make you pay another 10 [censored] dollars to even play that stuff, that came out on the SAME DAMN DAY AS THE GAME.

I love DLC, it extends the life of a game for me, after I've shelved it, but day one DLC is just a cash-grab technique, and it's disgusting.

You shouldn't even joke about such things.
Spoiler
An MMORPG (Massive Muttiplayer Online Rage Producing Game) would be horrible for the Mass Effect series - just imagine the pvp. Everyone would complain that certain classes would be too good (particularly biotics). But I guess that is a commonplace. You know, cows go "moo", dogs go "woof", MMORPG players go "PVP is overpowered".

Edit:

I'm sorry but Casey should seriously just learn to never speak again. Not only does he make himself look like an [censored] whenever he opens his mouth, but he is also throwing Bioware next to the [censored] money grabbers that are IW, Bungie, and Nintendo. I mean, how do these people even get put in PR positions? Do they go through their respective companies and look for the biggest [censored] tool there and promote him? That's definitely how Robert Bowling got his job for sure.

.....now I really know why Bioware Social network put up that zero-tolerance policy - for [censored] like this.

Except that there's been buzz about a Mass Effect MMO since ME1. : /

I'm utterly disgusted.

I'm in favor of starting a forum-wide (maybe larger) boycott of Bioware and EA.

Last EA thing I purchsed was BF3.

Not giving them money has been pretty easy.

I already knew the squadmate was cut before the game was finished. When the CE was announced they slipped up, then the script from the beta that was allegedly out dted.
