What I wanna know is; who's bright idea was it to not let me have a krogan on my squad! It has always been me, Garrus and a Krogan damnit!

I guess Vega's :yuck: supposed to be the musclebound idiot this time.

(Not a fan of his. If I had to sacrifice someone (like the mission in ME1)? He'd be out the airlock before the question was finished.

So I just finished the Priority Mission to go to Quarian Space. That was
Spoiler
a pretty intense fight, in the Geth dreadnought, timing movement with the pulse waves in that one area, as you tried to gun down the Geth heavies.  Yeesh.  I was pretty tense.  At the end of that, with the scene between the Ra'an and the other admiral who told them to fire on the Dreadnought when the shields came down, I kind of had to have my Shepard agree with him, even though I wanted to punch him in the head- militarily it was the right call.  There are things in the game I am not overly happy with but there are other moments like that, and set pieces like the fight through the dreadnought that make me really like the game.  :)

The server settings thing for multiplayer is complete [censored]. I've had it set on "Any Location" "Geth" and "Bronze Challenge". I've played 5 matches so far, none of them have been against geth, and only 1 has been a bronze challenge.

James Vegas is a herp a derp. Wrex wasn't dumb, Grunt was. They've been getting dumber and dumber, like some kind of lowest common denominator.

Question regarding the end of ME2 and its effect on ME3
Spoiler
What does saving the Collector base contribute to the war effort? How does it factor in with the whole Cerberus thing?

That's exactly it. Imagine ME4... I don't hate Vega. Granted, I haven't actually played the game yet, but from what I've seen he's one of the least annoying characters. He's not interesting just for the sake of being interesting (like everyone else in the game... :whistling:).

Oh, derp. I completely mis-read your question and posted something unrelated. I have no idea - I never could save the Collector base.

I see that people are finishing ME3 in three (3) days - that seems really fast. How many actual game play hours ? Complete play through? That is, do side quests or just go mainline?

3 days is only 72 hours IF you play 24 hours/day, 36 hours would be a lot of game play in 3 days - and 36 hours of game play is pretty much a rip off for $60

Officially: 5-20 hours if you do the bare minimum, 40 hours max if you do everything.

 .......Oh you where being serious  .........................I kid, merely poking fun.

I put 32 hours into the game and don't feel cheated. For a game to be more than 30 hours is damn good by today's standards.

I'm 36 hours in the Main Plot with most of the side missions done (I did rush a bit though). Including multiplayer 40+ hours for me. I'm about to set off on the last mission at 36 hours in campaign.

I agree. One of my qualifications for a game to be "top tier" in my mind is it has to have at least 60 hours of gameplay. Anything that goes over 100+ and I'm not bored yet then that is good great game. Anything over 1000+ qualifies as my favorite game (cough) Morrowind (cough) :P

So I finally completed the main plot today with the "best ending"

Spoiler
And I've got to say, I prefer the journey over the destination. I found myself with a lot more questions than answers. How the hell did my squad get back onto the Normandy when I saw the three of us take a gigantic shoop-da-woop to the face? Did the galactic travel ever get back to what it was?

I've got to wonder, did they make that second question ambiguous on purpose for an excuse to make another trilogy at some point?

Can't comment on ME3 now (and possibly ever), but I was of the impression that Grunt got dumber over the course of one game. He enjoys violence, sure, but he started out highly introspective and a touch philosophical. Then one loyalty mission later, he seems to lose the thoughtful side and begins to singularly represent everything wrong with the Krogan race.

That is about my criteria also - 60 hours @ $60 = $1/hour of game play (1st play through) is a real good value. So, I'm thinking ME3 is worth, maybe, $40. I suspect I won't be playing it until June or July

I WOULD feel cheated if I paid $60 for a game that only lasted 32 hours

Its called DLC. Expect a couple new squad mates (better be a Krogan) and a continuation of Shep, regardless of the ending chosen.

My Shepard got disintegrated into a pile of ash after controlling the reapers. I doubt they'll continue his story after the ending.

I really really really hope so. But am being very pessimistic about it. I'd love to think my Femshep will get reunited with her LI and go back to Earth....but doubt it will happen.

I agree entirely. If I'm going to pay that much for a game then I'd better get my money out of it. So far for Morrowind I've paid roughly $0.0108 per hour. I think that's a pretty good deal.

EDIT: And what ever happened to PC games being $10 less than console games?

Vegas ranks lower because Grunt while dumb, is at least focused on being the most brutal warrior ever. He might not know it, but it's his art form. Gruesome though it may be, and he was built with fighting in mind. Vegas looks like he woke up after a 4 day binge drinking party and walked into work without cleaning up and is expecting to get promoted despite sleeping with his boss's daughter who is now pregnant. Then to make it worse all he can say is sorry brah. The game can't even keep his character consistent, he's supposed to be some badass soldier. But we regularly see him get burned by Garrus, confused in a fight of logic, beaten by Shepard, act like an insolent [censored], and be confounded that his enemies have some basic grasp of war.

Grunt is dumb. Vegas isn't even able to claim any sort of skill or pride in his own field of forte, and regularly is made the butt monkey of the story. He's often clueless, and seems to be disconnected form the whole affair. He doesn't show much emotion at anything, other than hulk like derp smash head into things. How the hell this guy has been recommended for any positions past grunt is beyond me. At least Grunt would understand the severity of the threat, think how to fight said threat and act accordingly. Vegas can't even claim that. He acts like a too cool for school [censored] bag. He doesn't know anything at all, about how to fight or what he's fighting. He's completely clueless. At this stage in his career you can't call him a newbie since it's been so long and any sort of military tactics has apparently failed to rub off on him.

Edit
If you need any proof, he calls Femshep Lola. And all he does is herp derp workout. It's all he's got around his little section of the ship. I believe someone refereed to him as the Jersy Shore character. The news reporter is kind of annoying too. I was originally going to give him the benefit of a doubt, but then he spectacularly proved my opponents point at every moment of his time on screen.

Edit2
He's that weird tinge of orange that says he's been fake tanning too. It really bothers me.

Inflation. Price increases. The world economy. Etc. Honestly, I'm surprised that the $50 price point has held as long as it has.... very few other common products keep the same general cost over 5-10 years.

("But why aren't console games $10 more?" Different market pressures and audiences, maybe? I'd bet on the price increasing with the next gen of consoles.... they probably don't want to push it up without the "excuse" of "but it's better now!" to keep the consumers from revolting too much.)

Agreed.

Muscle roid macho man who thinks he can talk smack. Horrible character that no one likes.

Also

Spoiler
I'm doing a tuchanka mission where I have to find out what Cerberus is up to, I fought my way through the first wave and got to the control panel now it says I have to activate the generators or something. I have to back track a bit and fight again and find two panels on a wall

They show the target icon over them but no activate option when I get close to them.

Glitch? Am I stuck or is there something else I have to do?
