Pistolero, what did you get in your collectors edition, im not sure if it was standarised in all countries, was just interested.
Physical content
- A shiny picture (about 20x10cm IIRC) depicting the Normandy
- Comic book dealing with Aria T'Loak. Only part 1 out of 4, which I considered an insult.
- Art book
- N7 fabric patch.
In-game
- N7 hoodie for Shepard
- N7 weaponry (the shotgun is awesome)
- Alternate outfits for human party members and Liara
- Javik DLC
- Robot dog patrolling Shuttle Bay
- Game soundtrack
Essentially what everyone else got.
Right, but you should be able to sell or buy back or even loan your license around. Because you have bought one copy of the license.
Nope, you just essentially bought a movie ticket, you go watch the film, and then the ticket becomes useless and you can't give it to a friend so he could watch it too. He needs to buy his own ticket.

Now that I finished ME3 once I want to say to some people. I know some do not like the ending, I did like it myself. It wasn't perfect , but OK. Now people complaining about this starchild crap need to stop making stuff up just to complain.

Spoiler
It wasn't anything to do with being a starchild thing. The fact was this kid had been on Shep's mind throughout the game, so the catylast came to Shep in this form, So his/her human mind could understand and comprehend was was happening. This is just another basic Sci Fi thing they have done in alot of movies. Unknown alien shows up in some form so the humans or others can talk to it and understand, Simple SyFy cliche.

Not to mention that subject is touched in the game, during the
Spoiler
mission where you shut down the geth server. Legion says many times that Shepard perceives things in the server as her mind interprets them. Exactly the same thing applies to the Catalyst. The nightmares Shepard has show that she feels quilt about the boy dying, and the Catalyst took it's from to possibly affect her decision or just to appear non-intimidating

Right, but under the law. You own the license, the ticket. You can barring giving it to others do what you want with your ticket. It's not like a one time use and once you beat the game it shuts down. If they tried something like that you would have every basis to go and take them to court. The reason they have all these weird laws? Because no one has taken them to court to see how they'll hold up. You could rip it up, throw it away, bury it and never use it again, or anything else other than giving it to a friend. Though you should be able to do that as long as there's some way to confirm you no longer have said license/game on your computer. It doesn't matter if it's a license or a physical product like a pencil. Barring exceptions you can do what you like with it. If anyone says otherwise take them to court, I guarantee you'll win.

Of course, I agree with you completely. Unfortunately, EA doesn't. According to them they are entitled to decide how you play your game. They can ban your Origin account for whatever reason, which will make your Mass Effect experience a lot more difficult.

EA's whims can't overrule local legislation, though. But I guess that's not the point, as long as they can convince enough people they've less rights than they have, they've succeeded. It's not just EA, either, a depressingly large proportion of businesses have terms and conditions that indicate their customers have less than their statutory minimum rights.

The reason this whole licensing thing happened was, because a guy was selling a copy of norton antivirus he purchased but didnt want and didnt install on e-bay, nortons found out and took him to court for selling a product that didnt belong to him, thus making him out to be a trader without a license to sell, then they added that they owned the license to the product and the software and that the purchaser was basically leasing it. They lost the court case, but they went to another state in the US and got the case tried there and won thus setting the precedent for all software, otherwise before that you were the purchaser and owner, so you can thank nortons.

^ When I read that first I thought that BW has announced something good for us, or was there a more personal reason you couldn't play it before?

I just played ME1 as an adept - and rolled it into ME2 - I thought I would, for once, try to stay with a class all the way through. Adept in ME1 was kinda meh, though by the end, yeah effective enough, it just had no oomph. But I stuck with it - singularity in particular was hilariously overpowered high up int he skill tree - I'd just toss it any old place, and crates, mobs, rocks... all would get picked up. ME2 biotics are just so much more satisfying. Throw just makes me laugh so often, looking for mobs I can nail so they go flying off a bridge or whatever. Heh.
Only thing I wish is that they kept lift instead of pull. I just like to watch people hover helplessly. Then "throw" them super high.

I think I finally start the re-run of the whole series that I've been planning. I got two characters past ME1 but I don't like the FemShep because of her Sole Survivor background (always found that incredibly lame) and the MaleShep looks disturbingly like this officer I used to know.

I think of going with Spacer/Ruthless instead of Earthborn/War Hero that of my main playthrough. Will do actions I have never done before, like preserving collector base, killing Wrex in Virmire and reprogramming Heretics.

You can do that with Pull. If you aim above the target, Pull usually sets him flying. Playing Adept at ME2 now, was planning to play with the calsses i've never used before (adept, engineer, sentinel) before quitting the ME series. For now.

What DLC would you say is "required" for story purposes.

Shadow Broker and Arrival seem pretty useful. Haven't tried Kasumi or Overlord. (I think I only had Bring Down The Sky for ME1. And.... well, it gives you more on the Batarians, and yeah, you'll get a reference to it/could get some EMS in ME3, but it doesn't really tie in to the main characters or plot.)

Kasumi one is just fun to play, overlord is so, so it has heavy weave armour upgrade though and the hover tank.

I dont think she changed that much, just better graphics and in the other ones she has her hair up, with her hair down she looks alot different, but slightly better rendering.

Kasumi's DLC gives you a pretty interesting sidequest in 3. Not sure if it's still there without it though.

Kasumi, Zaeed, shadow broker, arrival, and overlord all factor into dialogues and quests in ME3, and having some will ensure you get better war assets in ME3.

All sidequests are available without importing a ME2 save. you just get a worse ending if Kasumi didn't survive the suicide mission.

Kasumi is never mentioned in ME3 if you didn't get the DLC

Overload is good said for that bloody thing you have to drive around.
Zaeed has a quest, only a little one in the Citadel.
Kasumi no mention of her in ME3 but that depends on the choice you made in her DLC in ME2
Shadow Broker is good on its own right.
Arrival I aways grind my teeth going through that one. Make sure you level up good before you play that one. As for BioWare art work I noticehttp://i140.photobucket.com/albums/r11/Gerza71/MassEffect22012-03-2717-56-42-08.jpg I think art work is last on their mind.

Must me her hair? When I going through ME and ME2 I tried to picture her with long hair. In ME3 the other way around. I tried to picture her with her hair done up. I notice her lower lip. Either she had a fight in a bar copped at the mouth one too many times or she kept on biting her lower lip whilst fighting out in the field. Or little bit of both.

If you don't continuously play MP it does that.

It doesn't go below 50%.

And it'll go up again by playing rounds of MP, same way it went up in the first place.

I don't think it will drop below 50%, which is the baseline.
