I'm lovin' ED-E and Rex.... Those are great options.

A little weird to know about ALL the companions this far before release... But oh well... I don't hang out on the Bethesda Forums to AVOID spoilers.

I think the most important question now is can the dog talk? I know K-9 could in Fallout 2, but I'm not sure if he was a cyborg dog like this or a completely robotic dog.

For all those wanting Fawkes to be "female" and disappointed that he wasn't, you all got your "Female" Super Mutant Companion wish with Lily... LOL

I really hope I can dress Lily up in something more gender neutral, because her nightkin perk is badass and a supermutant in a dress is just disturbing... :P

I'll probably start with Boone on my first playthough since I'm also going NCR and it seems like a good fit, but all the other companions look great, almost if you can't go wrong with any one of them... :)

I wonder of ED-E is the same eyebot from the trailer (sans the bumper stickers and licence plate)? =p

The K-9 vs. Robodog question. Personally, I hope he can talk. Extra points if his voice is either tinny and childlike or something like GLaDOS

Oh, and also, ED-E would then be the one from the trailer, eh? ^_^

Is ED-E are reference to EDI the AI in Mass Effect 2? Looks interesting, seems like the one in the trailer.

The dog looks like awesome and i love some the perks the characters have.

Could also be intended to be somewhat phonetic, ie: ED-E = Eddy

Also... Called it!

Finally! This is the article I've been waiting on. :)

It breaks my heart that Marcus isn't on that list. Especially after all the detail they put into him.

And still no new Deathclaws are a definite bummer.

Other than that, it looks to be a fun cast of characters.

Should be interesting to see who sent ED-E. Brotherhood? Outcasts? Enclave remnants?

Wicked coolness. Although I feel like I've had something spoiled for me.. :brokencomputer:

EDIT: So is Cass related to John Cassidy from Fallout 2?

No Marcus? :sadvaultboy:

I'm personally glad Marcus and Joshua Graham are not possible companions. One thing that detracted heavily from Fallout 3 was overpowered companions. It seems in this, companions are what they should be, highly specialized support characters.

Looks cool. Somehow I wish there were more companions we didn't know about that they are keeping secret. *cough*marcus*cough*.

Wow, these companions are amazing. That super mutant grandmother seems like she might have an interesting story, but the only companion I'd likely want to actually travel with is ED-E, MAYBE Raul. I don't know, I just really don't like companions, their AI ALWAYS makes them shoot at things, or get in my way, I just hope Obsidian changed this so I can change my opinion.

You can command them to be passive or move out of the way with the companion wheel.

So is enemy ai and difficulty going to scale depending on if you are alone, with one companion, or with one human and one non human companion? It would be pretty ridiculous if the difficulty and ai doesn't scale of I have two companions travelling with me.

Good news. None of the companions appear as nigh unbeatable killing machines, just down to earth fellows that are specialized in their own style. The companionperks especially seem good.
