I'm going to go with Boone and ED-E (Maybe Rex I'm torn) for my first playthrough companions. :tops:

I wish I could have ED-E and Rex at the same time... Otherwise, I'll prolly spend most of the game companion-free.

It was an eyebot on an incredible journey, carrying an enormous amount of valuable data when it was badly damaged

it the one from the trailer

*fixed.

They are working on getting him back together though, Rothchild seemed confident it could be done in months or worst case scenario years (and it has been four in the FO universe).

..Then again, he's trying to fix a giant robot with alot of cameras and sensors modules so who knows.

Not only that but they got raiders and mutants swarming over the area trying to kill them, Enclave remnants who are probably still pissed and will surely try to get back and Outcasts who are going to be royally pissed off at them for endangering and finally destroying such rare piece of technology.

Honestly, if nothing happens to them and by fallout 4 they're even bigger and better than before then I'm going to be really annoyed.

I'll be annoyed if they still act like white knights at all in the next Bethesda one and the ones after.

I'm planning on joining up with them last anyway.

Btw, so, Josh, NCR will shoot BOS on sight. Thanks for the info. Well FO3 fans, you loved BOS, you seem to love NCR, now you gotta make a choice. :evil grin:

Haha! Yes. Every uptight comment about the misguided love of these two factions just got put down a bit.

I like ED-E so far. I really don't like the BOS, but I love Felicia Day, so I want her on my side.

[QUESTION]: No evil companions? No CL guys? What's up with that? Sure this is a complete list?

Well hopefully Elder Lyons will have died of old age and the faction is about to go through civil war because Sarah Lyons isn't cut for the task of leading them.
Or maybe she becomes corrupt for some reason.
Or maybe she tries again and again to accomplish what The Lone Wanderer did in order to make her dad proud but to no success and she leaves the Brotherhood, and after her dad is dead several influential members tries to take over the faction causing it to split into several splinter factions.

What the west coast Brotherhood needs to do is attack Lyons and take his version down while they still can like the Outcasts seem to want to do.

Lyon's goals are alot easier to swallow and his standards are obviously lower, so I imagine it would be pretty easy for his idea of the BOS to expand further.

Basically, the real BOS need to put him down before he changes the face of the BOS altogether and turns a vital search for the last glowing embers of humanity into a neverending slap fight/pissing contest with a bunch of supermutants. Lyons is destroying more tech than saving it.

The problem is that between them lies Midwestern BOS who are not pleased with the west coast fraction, then we have NCR which are standing in their way, Casears Legion, several former members of Masters Army expanded into that direction, radioactive dust storms, raiders etc etc.
So even if they wanted to take the tech from Lyons Brotherhood they'd lose a lot of men trying to wander across a continent.
It's not very realistic and they have their own problems to deal with.
If Circle Of Steel is canon then they have another problem on their hands.

ED-E is definitely the Eyebot from the E3 trailer, evidenced by the bumber sticker visible on it's side. It's 6 years old, so it would have been around 2 during the events of Fallout 3. Up to 4 years worth of new information on the development of D.C. could be in it's collection of data. In fact, chances are good what he has to tell us will be the only thing we'll know about D.C. until Fallout 4. I think I'll probably do his quest as soon as possible, and go out of my way to do it.

Honestly, if nothing happens to them and by fallout 4 they're even bigger and better than before then I'm going to be really annoyed.

My dream? He was sent by the Outcasts, years after Broken Steel, in an attempt to contact the Western B.O.S. and tell them about their current situation, including how The Citadel was bombed to bits (by the Lone Wanderer) and destroyed Lyon's traitor faction, how the Enclave have been purged from the area, and that they've taken control of the Water Purifier and are giving it to various settlements in exchange for technology.

it seems like with every new Fallout game, theres a mention of the BOS being even less powerful than they were before. A continuous fall from grace.

I want a game where they're having a relatively good week. Maybe not getting their ass kicked by a bunch of guys wearing berets. That sort of thing.

I like the idea but isn't it a tad too much info about Capital Wasteland?
Sounds more like something for Fallout 4.
They did say that there wasn't going to be any "big" connections between FO3 and FNV. :(

How does an Eyebot talk? Will it use its radio in the same manner as Bumblebee in Transformers?

Hey, just think, that eyebot could have once been listened to by the Lone Wanderer.

I like it. I am disappointed that Marcus won't be joining us, but we get a cool, unique Super mutant companion who is female instead. I suppose it makes sense that Marcus would want to settle down completely. Hope he has a lot of quests :D.

Well, it wouldn't be too much if it's the only thing we're told about it. An Eyebot from the Captial Wasteland is just a fancy, floating letter. Not that big of a connection, imo.

I don't know what else it's mission would be though...

"To whoever receives this Eyebot, ummm... just wanted to let ya'll know that Tennessee is doing just fine. Didn't wantcha to worry or anything!"

So, if Rex and Eddy can talk, will they talk to the humanoid companion we have with us like followers talk to each other in Dragon Age and Mass Effect?
