KingPix and the Morrowind Overhaul Team are proud to present...

Morrowind Overhaul - Sounds and Graphics 2.0

As for the first release, the mods included in this package were NOT created by KingPix, and the creators of every single mod are credited in the credit list, included within this package. The biggest thanks go to whole Morrowind modding community for the amazing mods the've created in these almost 10 years of activity!

This new version of the Sounds and Graphics compilation features many new and great improvements from the graphical point of view, but it's mainly characterized by a new and totally automatic installer, which will make a lot easier the process of installing the compilation, a matter of just some clicks
Another very great and important innovation is our autoupdater, which will allow the automatic download and setup of the next patches.
So basically what's left to you is the pure gaming experience

As always, feedback is important much appreciated, and don't hesitate to report anything which seems bugged, broken or that you suspect is not working as it should. You can do this both on our topic on the official Bethesda Forum or on our Morrowind Overhaul official forums at it's new home on RPGItalia (thank you Golgoth). You can find it here:
http://forum.rpgitalia.net/index.php?showforum=83

So guys, we hope you will enjoy this experience even more, and thank you everybody for your support!

KingPix, the Morrowind Overhaul Team and the Morrowind community

I'm going to make a fresh install for it. I've never tried a compilation mod before, but this is the one I think I've been waiting for. The reason I've chosen this compilation to be my first is because of the consistent support you've provided for past releases and your clear respect for the mod authors.

Thanks for all the effort you have put into showcasing their work and making it easier for new users to see what the Morrowind community has to offer!

Okay this is amazing.

The installer alone is just..... I dont even know. It's amazing.

Thank you so much for all this hard work, especially on the installer. Makes the process so easy!

EDIT: Seem to be having some sort of problem....... Gives me the below errors immediately after I launch the game, before I see anything on the screen. It then crashes the game everytime....

Failed to create shader Shaders\TexCoord_4_Offset_A.vso

Failed to create shader Shaders\TexCoord_4_Offset_A.vso

Failed to create shader Shaders\WC_TexCoordGen.vso

Failed to create shader Shaders\FauxEMBM_Displace_2.pso

Unable to load pixelshader file: FauxEMBM_Displace_2.pso
Failed to create shader Shaders\FauxEMBM_Displace.vso

Unable to load vertexshader file: FauxEMBM_Displace.vso

This release coincided with (yet another) reinstall on another machine, so I'm looking to take it for a spin. However, http://moautoupdate.net/guides/MGSO_Manual_Guide.pdf seems to be missing.

Meeeeerry Christmas! :) I'll be installing it... next year when I come back to town where my playing PC and Morrowind is. :(

Thank you for this! I'm generally not into mods but how can I not be without trying this? Aand in all likelihood never being able to play MW again without it! ;X

Can you release a change log like you did for 1.3 from 1.2?

Also, thanks to your team for making an easy installation on how to keep Morrowind graphically current for both new and old fans.

Bugger me.

7z CRC Failed in 'MGS02Installer.exe.' File is broken

WinRAR
! C:\Users\...\Downloads\MGSO20Installer.part4.rar: CRC failed in MGSO20Installer.exe. The file is corrupt
! C:\Users\...\Downloads\MGSO20Installer.part4.rar: Unexpected end of archive

Downloaded another mirror of the part4 and got an install safely.

I had a problem when it came to the shader editor and it asked me to show the path to the shader directory in my morrowind location but was able to manuever through it and everything appears to be working...great job!!

Just downloading, thanks for the hardwork on this one :3
Same as Elaura, I've never used a compilation before this version of MGSO (I'm very picky with textures).
I use different Morrowind installations to have different gaming experiences, and now I want to try this with MGE XE (it'll be my first time using XE too).
I've read the previous thread, I've read your blog too and all I've seen convinced me to try this. There are many graphical and gameplay choices and the textures are close to original MW feeling.
Another advantatge of using a compilation with installer: having many free slots for mods :3 And that is priceless.
This is like a Christmas gift ;)

Just installed...WOW! This is amazing. Great, great job on this! Really blown away.

I'm getting some low framerates (especially underwater) with what I consider to be a fairly highend rig.
Above water I'm getting about 25 around Seyda Neen and underwater it's like 15.

Intel Core i7 960 (quad core)
12 gigs of Ram
1280MB GeForce GTX 570 (using latest drivers)
Windows 7 64 bit patched to latest

Also how do I turn off the fps message?
And how do I change screen resolution size? I'm at 1900x1200 but when I dropped it down to 1600x1200 it crashes the game.

Hey there!
Don't worry, there's already a fix for this at the Morrowind Overhaul forums. http://forum.rpgitalia.net/viewtopic.php?p=3020160#3020160
Glad you liked the installer, by the way!

To disable the FPS counter run MGEXEgui.exe and uncheck Display FPS.
Then go in the Distant Land tab and lower the draw distance to improve performances :D

Hey, first of all great wotr, the installer works superb as far as I can say!

But i have 2 questions: does MGEXE now have tho foam at the edge of the water in it's latest verion? because i have the foam. and i clicked on the oblivion style cursor, but I get the MW-moon (tryed 2 times)...i somehow get the feeling that i don't get the options I checked the boxes for in the MGSO tool...
