Just adding to my personal list. The weeping angels >_>
Those things from Doctor Who?
That was one of the very rare episodes I actually watched and I must say they were impressively creepy

Yeah, they're one massive mindscrew. Plus, since they feed on energy, if they turned the lights off, well, you can't look at them. :cryvaultboy:

I seldom if ever get antsy, and the episodes with the Angels makes me jumpy in the heart :cold:

So they are like Medusa-ish creatures as old as the universe that come through the tv, thats what I remember from the episode I saw?

In a sense, usually they 'kill' you by sending you back in time and feeding off the energy from the years you would have lived had you normally never encountered the angel. They also kill by snapping a neck and 'rewiring' the brain of the person they kill to speak through the victims voice, since Angels have no voice, but it's rare they kill by neck snapping according to the Doctor. If you look into their eyes, they can end up turning you into an angel too.

The only one I can think of right now is Wesker from Resident Evil. Why. Won't. You. Die.

Either him or Julia Gillard. Not from a movie or game I know but still.

I'm also going to add the Gentlemen from the Buffy the Vampire Episode "Hush". Those smiles were some of the creepiest things I have seen on TV.

Mr Glass in Unbreakable.
He killed hundreds of people to prove a theory. A narcissistic theory. Pure Evil.

Iago in Othello is a close second. He at least has motive for the evil he does. Which is jealousy, and the desire to deprive the world of joy.

For games. The dark ones in Metro 2033.
For Books. Voldemort.
For Movies. The Joker.
For plays. Dracula.
For in real life. My brother.

I'd say Darth Vader. Everyone recognizes Vader, even if they've never seen Star Wars they know all about Vader. lain?

That's because a burn victim in a fancy breathing suit isnt all that terrifying. :teehee:

I dunno, considering the fact that he can choke you to death just by thinking about it if you tick him off enough (from ship-to-ship in at least one case, which makes it about 10 times scarier.) I'd still be pretty terrified of him.

Finally someone understands!

I am still surprised no-one has mentioned Julia Gillard but me still. You know, we call her the Red Scourge down here?

I wouldn't call the Red Queen quote unquote "memorable".

Giygas (SNES Earthbound)
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy 7)
Emperor Palpatine (Star Wars movies)
Robert Englund's Freddy Krueger (original Nightmare on Elm Street movies)
Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th movies)

Can we mention real-life (non-political, of course) figures as well? In which case I'd also like to mention Boston Rob Mariano of reality-TV fame. He's just so slimy, evil and despicable IMO, and between that and the amount of exposure that showbiz keeps giving him he'd have to be considered memorable...

Whenever I see Tim Curry I immediately assume he's the bad guy. So he's my most memorable villain, not the characters he acts as.

Wesker did something a lot of villains didn't bother to try. His coolness factor gave him that mystical mysterious yet sinister air about him, that further makes him unapproachable, yet at the same time this very thing make him appealing.

He seemed like a dike more than a cool ass villain, I never felt afraid of him in any of the games and in the film...:sigh:

He was a cool villain and kind of lost it in RE5 imho. They really redeemed him with that Mansion DLC for RE5 making him cool once more. Game wise I have to go with Virgil from DMC3 being the tougher, sleeker, and all around [censored] of the series. The first fight is great in the game between those two always making me go trickster. Same goes for the second fight where i'll use Cerberus + Dante's standard sword for effect.
