Neither did I, dude. This is by far the most obscene XD story in the history of gaming. Guess we shall remind or grandchildren of this infamous day :D, as we got all TROLLED by...bethesda. XD

Nah, it only means there is still no info about a yes or a no. And i believe (about 95% chance) that bethesda is working on a solution. I mean they earned more then enough money with skyrim and dawnguard. Will earn still a bit more, especially with dawnguard. And its ofcourse a matter of Service too. People wont buy the following products if they dont get anything for their money.
But most important thing: Oblivion and FO3 were bugged like hell too, and it aaaall got fixed, so why should they stop here? Its only a matter of time, take my words ;)
I just hope with Dishonored we wont experience such bugs.

With that expectation of yours regarding Dishonored I take out that you seem to be quite a believer in either miracles or....fairies o.o

XD just kidding, I hope the same ^^, although if I look back on Morrowind and the Pirates of the Caribbean (actually Sea dogs 2) there is less chance they will ever make a not seriously bugged game :D

And to think that this all could be prevented if they would put the English Version of Dawnguard in the XBox Marketplace. And I wouldn't really mind paying another 1600 points,r eally, but the only thing that keeps annoying me how rude Microsoft and Bethesda are. They give us the fault because we bought English version of Skyrim instead of the German/Italian/Spanish/Whatever Version and now we have to pay for it.

Well just take a look at Skyrim as it was released. I mean yes, it had some bugs, but nothing there was that seriously as i, as a fan of bethesda games have expected. Especially if u think about the enourmous content of that game. Bethesda has progressed and learned of past fails. That something like that happens now to the dlc is tragic but well [censored] happens. I guess Dishonored will be as bugfree as Rage. Even though i hope that it is a lot better than that game, cause Rage was quite dissappointing (even though i really enjoyed the constant 60fps).

Well, according to the austrian XBox360 team blog website (link provided below, in german) they tried to get the english Dawnguard DLC into the austrian Marketplace, but that didn't work out. For what reason and who and why whoever refused to do so, isn't really clear (read the comments section below the article):

Might be true.

I can confirm they put the English version of dawnguard on the italian Marketplace. It was available last night, i downloaded it, i didn't have much time to test it, and my charachter is in Blackreach right now, so i didn't want to go out and start the DLC, woldn't have been good roleplay.
Even so, i found some "dwarven bolts" in loot, written in english, therefore looks like it's working -touching wood-.

What i wanna say is: looks like Bethesda did it, where it was possible; they put the English DLC on some FIGS marketplaces. There's really some problem with austrian and german marketplace that prevents them from putting it there...

Could be perhaps because of the USK and PEGI stuff. But still that ain't making any real sense since ^^ PEGI classified the game as 18+ and in Germany it got classified as available on 16 years accomplished....

Which means actually, they could also put up the english version of skyrim DLC to the market, since the content isn't much more gore than its german version.

XD all I can say is that this world is becoming [censored] up, with all those version, giving upon us restrictions where or whatsoever we should buy.

This ain't really a free market anymore, which I find a real pity. I know ^^ it may just be a game, but lets take this as a start into a more gloomy future for gamers and other things.

I couldn't for the life of me think of a feasible reason why the english DLC couldn't be put on the austrian marketplace. German laws don't apply to Austria and we don't have these strict youth protection laws in terms of computer- and videogames like they do in Germany, so it can't have anything to do with that.

The only reason I could think of would be the fact that the english version of Skyrim was never officially released over here. Neither in Germany, nor in Austria, but I guess as much is true for France and Italy ..... anyway, the situation is rather :(

The problem seems related only to deutsch-speaking countries,so a logical explanation would exist for that

Okay, i have NEWS....I talked to a guy from Bethesda Germany. He is sales, but they just came out of a conference...I can imagine why...

Well, he told me that they are aware of the problem...that a lot of Gamers in GERMANY have the above stated problem ( no need to repeat our qualms once more) because they use a UK Version. He told me they are talking to America and working on a solution. He cannot guarantee anything but they try to make Dawnguard working with the English version compatible to the German market. He also stated that we Germans have the same game as everybody else, nothing cut out, nothing toned down..they are identical no matter what is written on it.

He asked to give them some time...2 weeks or so.....they try to solve it....

......well....In that context...I got myself the German Skyrim out of desperation, having started Dawnguard with a rented game from a shop,...and it was so damn good, I could not stop. But I have not unpacked the game yet and will take it back to the shop tomorrow ....because he told me to grand them 2 weeks. If nothing happens by then ....

I start getting some hope again....

Hmmmm, I get a distinctive impression...

COULD it be that is it neither Bethesda nor Microsoft having problems with the DLC ...is it that they have problems with German buerocrathy?
that they first have to poof that is is proper for the German market before they make it available?

And if it is one english DLC for both Austria and Germany...if nothing is different as the guy in sales stated, they have to wait for the German authories to approve? OH, god.......that would explain certainly why both Austria and Germany are still waiting for anything to happen.

We Germans are known for being tedious paper pushers...

I just had a littler longer phone contact with a microsoft Supportworker. The Problem is, that the System see the english Version of Skyrim, but there isnt a Patch out there for it. It searchs for an english patch not a german patch -> so the german patch doesnt get loaded at all.
Okay, now it would be nice to load the English Dawnguard DLC, but there is the USK interferring and not allowing it. So there are only two options currently to solve this problem, and both are like pest and cholera. Either exchange the english Skyrim with a german version of the game, or creating a english Account and buy there Dawnguard again. Both not quite awesome.

So i guess we do either of those two options, or wait and hope for a soon arrival. Gogo Bethesda, u can do it!! :)

I checked on that option already.....check my former posts...what the guy told you does not work !

a. you have a German IP adress, even with an English game account, you cannot download onto a German IP adress.

b. you cannot buy MS Points on the English game account, it demands a UK adress.

c. If you buy MS Points in a shop, it still wants a billing adress, you dont have a UK address....it does not work either.

d. If you fake a UK billing adress it still checks the download IP address..not english IP? ...it does not work.

e. If you fake a UK billing adress, they might ban your game account OR your entire console. It is against Microsoft TOS.

Only half of it is possible. Since ^^ we may live in Germany, Austria or as I in Luxemburg, to make a UK account on Xbox Live does not solve the problem :). They redirect you to the German DLC of Dawnguard as soon as they track your IP adress. Since your request to download has been started and located in Germany, it immediatly switches to the German DLC.

Ridiculous I know, but that's how it is ^^, I tried it yesterday.

and I have forwarded this issue to the another customer service of MS. They actually have the English DLC ready and they are looking forward to it, to not infringe the law ^^ in any sense. Perhaps they can put it up as download for us, or maybe not. But I gotta wait another couple of days for their response. I'm sorry guys ^^ that I can't help more than that :).

I think I found a (legal!) way how to download the english version of Dawnguard in Germany.

1. Just to make sure, you should save your savegames on an external drive in advance.
2. Get a new Xbox-Live-Account where you state "Great Britain" as your country of origin.
3. Sign onto the Xbox market place using your new UK-account.
4. Charge your UK-account with 1600 MS points using a voucher (you can use the ones sold in Germany).
5. Delete the German version of Dawnguard from your harddisk and buy the English version using your UK account.
6. Change back to your German account and load the last savegame you used before installing the German version of Dawnguard.

For me, this worked out perfectly. The only thing I regret is that I wasted around 20 € for the German version of Dawnguard in the first place.

That's not true, I was able to download the English version of Dawnguard using an English account in Germany. I talked to someone from Microsoft support beforehand and he told me that Microsoft is not checking the IP-adress, it just depends on the origin of the account.

In my case, the guy's name was Florian. ;) But more important, I tried it out and it actually worked! Just go on http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/ , create a new account with Great Britain as your country of origin, log onto Xbox-Live using that account and go to the market place. There you can buy "Dawnguard (English)". Just try it out yourself, all I can say is that for me, it worked out fine.
