PCPS3 Release date, Part 4.

You're all falling into a marketing trap - the more controversy they can cause good or bad, the more interest is generated. If the PC/PS3 mags & rags pick up the story of a delay to cause more interest in the DLC = more money for gamesas

We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you.

It was pretty much announced for other platforms via the 1.7 fix list. Also, I don't know why some of you are acting so surprised. We all knew this was coming. Like I said before, if it's anything like the release for Dead Money for Fallout New Vegas, expect it next month.

Your asking the wrong question, what didnt you miss?

And you missed the world ending.

I see this thread is completely up in flames now...

Well, i think i'll just wait the entire thing out with some TF2.

What annoys me is this is completely, completely arbitrary.

The 30 day exclusivity period is OVER. The PC have patch 1.6, and PS3 will have 1.7 soon. In terms of the PC release, we have the required game version and therefore the required TESV.exe file. The Dawnguard.esm and Dawnguard.bsa files are literally sitting on Bethesda's server gathering dust. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever not to release those files as soon as they can. The 30 day exclusivity period I can deal with, that's fine. I can't deal with utterly idiotic business decisions like not releasing files that are ready to go out for no apparent reason.

You're 100% right however I still feel like [censored]in and complaining just because they haven't even given a release date.

It's not the wait that really bothers me, it's how vague the response was after 30 days of waiting with in silence only to discover they have no plans on releasing it any time soon.

Thorw in some us PS3 players in that........FO3 brought me to bethesda amd Skyrim is going to be my exit at this point.

Even if they lost half of their fanbase and jumped in with microsoft permanetly. They technically could afford it... skyrim made 600,000,000 million dollars. 10 million people bought it at 60 bucks a piece. losing the ps3 players and PC users would get their sales numbers down to about 3-5 million... which is roughly. 200-300 million in revenue. But what game company wants that? Giving up on the PC users and PS3ers isn't going to happen.
