At this time, we do not have announced release plans for Dawnguard on other platforms. As soon as there's any new information to share, we'll let everyone know.

I'm gonna go ahead and be optimistic and say that this wording means that there very well could still be an announcement today. "We do not have announced release plans" means they don't have release plans already announced. That said, his post was rather useless and the silence on bethesda's part is deafening.

Well Bethesda just lost a lot of respect from me. You've been sitting on it for 30 days and don't have any release plans whatsoever, that's unacceptable. Oh well, Guild Wars 2 comes out next month so i'm most likely done with this game for quite s long time. If you cared about your customers at all you would have had it available for release as soon as possible after the 30 days, in the long run it won't hurt anyone but yourselves.
Same her, no respect for them at all.

So now the only two major gaming companies i respect are Valve and CD Projekt Red. Don't Bethesda realize without their PC customer base they would be nothing now, yet they still don't give a crap.

See here is the thing I have money I want to give bethesda my money but since release is taking so long since we already have been waiting for a month I may use this money to instead buy borderlands 2 or darksiders 2.

The longer bethesda waits the more people will lose interest.
Get Darksiders 2. It'll be out sooner than Dawnguard and it will definitely be my game of the year.

If that was the case they wouldn't have been able to respond just now.

ah yes but thats the beauty of how they responded, they said something without saying anything

Agreed.
Played through DS1 15 times and its still one of my favorite games, they even pushed it back to polish it up and add some new stuff.
its Almost like something a game company would do or something.

Well that reply wasn't surprising, the gramatical error is at least entertaining. If Bethesda's ultimate aim with these shenanigans is to push PC and PS3 players to cough up for the inevitable GOTY edition to get their hands on any of the DLC, they're in fantasy land.

From Pete Hines' Twitter:

We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you.

Yeah, it's not coming anytime soon.

In all likelihood the exclusivity period didnt start until the non english version's of the DLC were released, which if I remember means that the exclusivity period would end August 10th?

I seriously doubt that, actually. After nearly 30 days of radio silence it's pretty clear that "do not talk about other releases" was a part of the deal. I don't think it's a coincidence that they've started talking now, even if it's to say absolutely nothing.

Well, for ps3ers we have 5 likely dates.

31st of july: A true god-send

7th of august: Fair enough

14th of august: Pushing the boundaries

21st of august: Ridiculous

28th of august: simple Bull....

After that: I'm not buying it (immediately)

I use the Playstation 3 to play Skyrim, and we haven't had an update since April. (From what I remember, correct me if I'm wrong.)
I know this is outrageous how Bethesda is treating us PS3 users. We have been waiting patiently for an update for so long now, and to find out that we have to wait a couple weeks more? (Maybe not a couple, possibly longer.) We PS3 users paid $60 for this game, and we demand that we get customer service. I want to get what I paid for. This is not what we paid for! I paid for a game to be updated, or at least news of upcoming updates. Not to be thrown aside and left in the dust while other consoles/PC get the updates. Its simply not fair at all. Bethesda clearly doesn't know how to manage a business. If you want us coming for more, treat us better! Ok, done with rant. :)

Honestly at this point it almost sounds like they won't be releasing it on the other platforms at all but just don't have the guts to come out and say it.

I'm going to attempt a cursory translation: *Sigh* "I am deigning to field your petty inquiries... you may be worthy to recieve it in September, and you will be grateful!"

Oh, well. Back to modding.

right there with ya, while I use PC I can only guess how infuriating it must be to be playing skyrim on PS3 right now.

Plays great on any platform as far as I know, but I'd prefer to use a controller instead of keyboard / mouse.
It was on sale on steam during the summer sale, but I guess that isn't much help to you now. :P

I meant mainly control wise, does it lend itself better to console controls or keyboard and mouse?

Micrsoft didnt give Bethesda THAT much money. I'm still sure they're willing to take our coin but, on their time not ours.

Well, that tweet from Pete Hines just crushed what little faith in Bethesda I had left. Enjoy your joint scumbaggery with Microsoft. Barring a surprise "gotcha" announcement today, you've lost my respect.
