PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 10

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 6:40 am

Saying that people are overreacting to this is a understatement. He miss worded, i do it, we all do it a time or two. he corrected himself let that tweet or twitt however you say it go. the only reason people are still on that tweet is because Ign & other big Gaming wedsites want a good news story so make something out of nothing at all.
Here are the facts
1st: Patch 1.6 is being rolled in with the dawnguard patch 1.7 for ps3 & patch 1.7 will be released for all platforms.
2nd: Sony said they are hopefully getting to test Dawnguard within the next month.
3rd: Beth said the patch 1.7 dawnguard patch will be released for all platforms in the next few weeks
So all in all Us on Ps3 must have had a import problem with dawnguard that they are trying to correct. remember people Patience is a virtue.

P.s if i mis spelled anything in this post i am sorry my spelling skill isn't as good as most people lets just leave it at that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not attacking you for anything you've mentioned.

You listed three facts, the first two I can't argue with as I don't have the game on PS3. The third fact is the one I'm having trouble with, at the top of this forum there is a post by Gstaff, and nowhere in it does it mention a 1.7 patch or the release of Dawnguard. This may have been mentioned somewhere else by Bethesda, and by the way in which it's worded, if you've quoted it correctly, would infer that Dawnguard will be available for all platforms along with 1.7.

The question I'm asking myself however is this, why did Gstaff make the statement he made on the 26th if he knew Dawnguard was going to be released in a few weeks along with the 1.7 patch, or for that matter update the post if the situation has changed? The flavour of his statement is, to say the least ambitious as is the one Peter Hines issued on twitter.

Really? How do they make more money off of your free mods?

Go ask Bohemia Interactive about the extra 500,000 customers who bought their game just to play a zombie mod. ;)

I was so close to buy the ultimate edition during the steam summer sale, but I'll be busy with other games quite soon. :/

my main problem isnt even DG im really not bothered about waiting . i am however sick to death of the lack of communication and support and the lies that have clearly been told from the start.nothing iv stated is untrue.

why when pc and xbox did beta tests and reported bugs non of them (as far as iv seen) have been fixed or even mentioned by beth.why wasnt i allowed to play the game the way i wanted . why can a dragon kill a quest essential npc......all of this stuff adds up fast
Now i have always said Beth did a bad move by not having better communication, updates & etc. for Pc & ps3 owners. I hate that dragons can kill quest npc's like everyone else is but alot of ways you can stop it from killing those npc's by playing smart. does it get annoying yes but annoying is all it is, in my opinion.

You know, I thought about FO:NV, but I never really got into FO:3. I mean, I bought it and was excited by it, but it just never grabbed me. I ended up selling my copy of FO:3 and didn't bother with NV. Sorry, off topic I know. I'll keep it DG related.

I must have been lucky. Rarely did a dragon EVER attack a city. I usually found them in the wild. Once one attacked the College and another city as far as I can remember. And this is over the course of several characters.

You watch though.. all this talk of vampies spawning in cities and making ghost towns of the country will land squarely in my lap

You should've asked me. :C

I literally bought four copies of it for friends when the sale had it at $10.
Currently they're constantly harassing me for tips and telling me how much they love it over Steam while I cash in all my "I-told-you-so"'s.

You know, I thought about FO:NV, but I never really got into FO:3

FO3 and New Vegas are as different as day and night.
A friend I recently bought New Vegas for was hesitant for that very reason. Now he's eating his words.

man i respect you do not feel the same as me and thats fine id never try to change ppl opinion at all. so please don't feel like im trying to make you join my side.

i had very little problems with skyrim untill 1.5 then my game 100% broke lag everywhere no matter what i did .

But as far as important NP[C's that should just not happen at all and sometime you cant do anything about it. they should get knocked out and not get back up for 1 in game day.

if a dragon attacks a city most of the NPC's go into fight mode and die .. yer you can go back t a safe save but it shouldn't happen .. i shouldn't be allowed to get in to caves that have quest items in that if i pick up i break the quest.

I agree the PS3 version is a lot more glitch and I agree with your other points as well but I mean the wait is an inconvenience mostly because lack of information,if there is something wrong with PS3 version they should just say so instead of letting everyone thank that BGS sold out to microsoft

True, very true. people hate on Beth? they need to see Thq, they never & i mean NEVER fix any of the bugs in there Svr series & when they do they patch it poorly & then come out & say you should be honored just to play are buggy games. ( i know its kinda off topic but it needed to be said Beth isn't the worst there worst companys out there that treat there fans worse then Beth does. )

Its not really Beth's fault perse more whoever is pulling the stings above Bethesda, Zenimax? I admit I'm not familiar with the corporate structure of Bethesda, as they are the reason for the timed exclusive and also just as likely the reason for the deafening silence during the exclusive. I feel bad for the moderators here especially as they quite literally don't know any more than we do yet endure a lot of the wrath of disgruntled gamers.

Damn! I just realised I still have unplayed DLC for FO:NV I got involved with Skyrim shortly after downloading it. That's another game I had to hit the pause button on due to bugs, I only finished it and bought the DLC the week Skyrim was released.

I'm glad you mentioned that, I'm off to play that now, screw Dawnguard.

Patch 1.7 is a patch that fixes problems with Dawnguard so putting two & two together means its come out on ps3 & pc soon when is unclear because
A: there could be problems with the importing to ps3 slowing it down.
B: Sony takes 1 to 2 weeks to test Dlc & patches.
So saying we don't know a release date is understandable because if they said its coming to Pc & ps3 in .....lets say August 19 & theres problems the importing messed up Sony send it back to fix & it wouldn't be ready for August 19 they would be in a bad spot. being catch with there pants down so to speak.

yea, though over the past 2 days I'm kind of awestruck at just how bad the communication with the community was, as I said above it's as if no one proofread their statements before posting them.

its cool to each there own, as i always say if two people are doing research on something reading the same things & come up with two different opinions on what they are looking at, is one of them wrong? no different opinions is what makes talking to people that think differentlt so great.

I just want to say that all customers should be treated equally. As it is now, we are not. Just watch Dawnguard trailer to the end.

"Better with Kinect for XBOX 360"

The better with Kinnect for 360 thing made me laugh uncontrollably.

Let's be honest here, they couldn't be in any more trouble with the PC/PS3 community than thay already are with the statements they're making. At this point getting a date wrong would be an improvement! I'm not asking for an exact date, I never have. All I ever wanted was confirmation that it would be released, preferably by the end of the year, something they have been so far strangely reluctant to mention.
