PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 10

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:06 am

Obviously... Did this really make it to thread 10 because people taught it wouldn't? :ermm:

No, I believe if the thread is examined it's clear folks are just spinning wheels about either supporting the DLC or walking away due to rage(and discussing business practice, and guessing on release dates, and talking about modding, and berating Bethesda/PR). And now, back to our regularly scheduled debate

Some of us are here [censored]ing because we actually give a [censored] and realise sitting back achieves [censored] all.

Not likely. Bethesda wont release it for PS3. They havent even worked on the patch for 1.7, and that only takes a week at most to completly fix. The dlc should easily be out by now, but bethesda is to lazy to work on it.

They are working on a patch 1.7 for PS3 and PC, 1.6's features and bugfixes will be included. Where are you people getting this information from?

A simple web search clearly states patch 1.6 is rolled into 1.7 for PS3 and issues addressed are for all platforms, unless specified. It's a public release, straight from the horse's mouth

I hate news articles related to gaming, they are all jumping the gun. Pete Hines corrected himself literally minutes after he wrote that. As I said, the exact same thing happened with Fallout New Vegas DLC Dead money, and the last time I checked, that was on PC and PS3 too. Why would the DLC be 30 day exclusive if it wasn't coming to other platforms? Why would 1.7 address Dawnguard problems for all platforms if it wasn't coming for PS3/PC? Think.

A simple web search also states that Dawnguard hasnt been issued on any platform besides xbox. It isnt coming, and if it does. It will be in a couple of months (2-4)

"Hasn't" been issued does not equal "Won't" be issued

Most information has pointed to a Q3 release. I think it's a good bet to lay the "if" debate to rest. I've kept tabs on the DLC ever since announcement and nothing I've ever researched has flatly stated "no release for PS3. Sorry". It's in the works. Why would 1.7 include VL fixes (which include PS3 version) if it isn't in the works?

For a PR high up Hines really chose the worst possible way to word that, regardless of his correcting it,

Anyways I will not be buying DG until the modding community comes out with fixes and at least the current vampire mod I use is updated to not conflict, because in terms of bugs lets remember who we are talking about here, I fully expect DG to release with next to no fixes

But that's the beauty of it. I've started a new character many times as well. Sometimes just for the joy of redoing fun stuff and playing a different way. With a game like Skyrim part of the fun is making your own adventure. And if boredom creeps up I simply set it aside for a bit. I'll get an idea for a new race/skill-tree mix and fly with it

First off let me start off by saying that; I have been following this story line since Arena. I have loved all the games so far....but because it would seem that money is the driving factor behind this whole event.
I will not be buying anything from this developer ever again. Nor will I have anything to do with them. I will take me business else where.
It is not that I feel I have been shunned or miss treated, I know that I have. If you want to make games For mutliplatforms then you need to support all the platforms. This game series is one of the few that I still play, but as of now I will not support it again. If you don't want to support me then I will not support you.
So to all the great people at your staff have a nice day. And good riddance.
Upset gamer.

Want my debit card with password and credit cards too? May as well have everything!

But in all seriousness.. I still think that kind of like "you can kill me, but two more will spring up in my place", folks that walk away will be replaced by those new to the series. Furthermore, I bet there won't be many walking away. I think folks might be put-off for a time and return. Or better yet: TES6 is announced. You coming back then? Overall it's simply a waiting game for the DLC. Enough said.

Just a little thought; if exclusivity practises are so harmful, and people feel so strongly about it, where was all this polemic for the past 20 years where exclusivity has been the norm?

Silence? Sure, I can understand annoyance on that front. But how people are so worked up at MS for following well established business practise in this industry boggles my mind. I note that a lot of the anti-exclusivity people only started up when it was they who got the short end of the stick... Just sayin...

I think a lot of folks were expecting it to come out on July 27th due to assumptions made across the web and were shocked it wasn't there for the taking. I admit I was a little hopeful but expected to wait. Nothing had been discussed about a release date and even now there is none. The only news is that.. there is no news. As of yet.
