PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 10

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 12:27 am

Those that choose to walk away from Bethseda in general will be replaced with other people new to their games and coming material.

Anybody who has children knows exactly what is going on with those claims of "No more Bethesda for me!"

But with all the delay, does that not also mean they are fixing the xbox 360 glitches and making sure them glitches wont happen for other platforms ??
One would hope so... It would make sense especially for PS3 as each content uploaded must pass through an expensive certification process.

It is different when an advlt does it though, their back does stay turned.
Not everyone on this forum is 12 years old.

And yes, I would cut off my nose to spite my face while you are asking.

It would be hilarious if the 30 days wait was to tell PC/PS3 gamers there is no Dawnguard for them.

Hell of a troll move :bunny:

I witnessed proof to the contrary when this very same thing happened with New Vegas DLC.

Displaying that proof is not possible because it means pointing out forum members, and I will not do that.

Maybe there actually will be one or two of you (in the big picture, it probably really only amounts to "one" but I'm sure that will be read all wrong no matter how I say it) who will stick to their guns and refuse Bethesda, but everybody else will cave. Not that it matters. Actually, nothing I say here matters because I'm not on the Complain About Bethesda DLC bandwagon.

Or you've finally had enough of their [censored].

The DLC is overpriced, buggy and made all the save games on my main character unplayable. Download at your own risk. I don't suggest it, though, it may be fixed it if it ever comes out for y'all.

I'm not on that wagon either. I'm on the wagon of slight disappointment, but not the frothing-at-the-mouth-stomping-psychotic-mad one.
I will wait calmly and see what the future brings. Hopefully a limited wait at that.

I don't think that that is consistently true.
But equally I'm not buying it, but not for the OMFG!!eleven1! reasons. I'm not buying because I have no interest in buying it, and I also have no interest in patching the game past 1.5, and tbh I have little interest in playing it at the moment as Bioware and DA are where my headspace is.
If I do go back to TES it'll more than likely be Oblivion, but that won't be for a while...

Oddly I'm not too worried about the DLC having adverse effects on my game. I have Skyrim for PS3 and the entire time I've had it (pre and post patches) there have been limited issues. I never experienced even a portion of all the bugs and game-breaking situations folks complained about. Sure, a freeze every once in a great while, but nothing major. Although I did see a backward flying dragon once. I just figured he had taken some bad skooma or something...

Monitoring these threads must be hell for the moderators.

They chose to do it.

Bethesda and the moderators, should know what to expect when attracting COD kids to the elder scrolls.

You know, I thought about this briefly and it's a little unnerving. I watched the E3 interview with Todd Howard again and all that's mentioned is "timed exclusive" (no mention of 30 days, I think that's just a media-based assumption?) and "I have no idea" when asked about release to other platforms. Yikes.

Not really, we know what to expect and we know how the thread should be maintained. There is not, and never has been, any intention to throttle complaints and valid opinions as long as the members stick within the forum rules and maintain a civil and mature discussion. So far this iteration of the thread has been OK, lots of wild ideas based on guesses, speculation and rumors but that's OK, it's par for the course. :)

Thanks guys for keeping it level headed (ish). ;)

Why does everybody not understand this?

This exact scenario happened with the Fallout New Vegas DLC. It's going to be on the PC and PS3, mark my words.

And advlts who actually care about the games industry and where it is headed, not just looking at when the next hip title shall be out so they can be with the in crowd at school.
Some of us are here [censored]ing because we actually give a [censored] and realise sitting back achieves [censored] all.

I expect it to release at the end of september or not at all. We would be lucky if it even released in the end of august.

well, I was so looking forward to Dawnguard on my PS3. At first I was quite upset at the news yesterday - today I am looking at it like they are...business.

I think I'll just pass on any DLC for Slyrim on PS3, and not bother buying any further games from the company. It keeps money in my wallet and I already have plenty of great games to replay.

So.......not my loss guys.

As I understand it though, DLC for that game didn't hit PS3 until many months later. Never played FO:NV so I am only trying to recall what was mentioned about the DLC in relation to how people think it's going to go down for this one. Am I correct about that?

Nearly, that was for Fallout 3, All the DLC hit the PS3 simultaneously 9 months after the first DLC was first released for Xbox/PC (PC was included in the exclusivity agreement then, probably because it used Games For Windows Live). Fallout New Vegas had one hiccup where the DLC wasn't released at the same time as the PC because PSN was down on the day. Only the first DLC for FO:NV was exclusive, if I recall correctly.

Not likely. Bethesda wont release it for PS3. They havent even worked on the patch for 1.7, and that only takes a week at most to completly fix. The dlc should easily be out by now, but bethesda is to lazy to work on it.
