I am hardly a Sony really devoted fan, and I honestly prefer the 360 and PC.(although i do have a ps3 as well). Having said that though, I fail to understand why people blame Sony. I agree that Sony perhaps should have made a console a bit more developer friendly if you will, but that doesn't excuse Bethesda. They made the choice to release it on the ps3 and this was not their first attempt at making a game for that console.(Fallout 3). If Bethesda honestly felt they were not capable of making a quality product on the ps3, then don't make it for that console. Simple as that. Before release Bethesda was saying Skyrim on ps3 and 360 had reached a good place of parity. Don't make comments like that if you can't deliver.
For those also blaming Sony for only allowing a certain amount of patches(not sure if this is even true), you have to realize they have let Bethesda release 5 patches already. Once again Bethesda should take some heat for this as well. They could have released a more functional game and not had to rely so much on patches to make the game more stable. The fact that the game is definitely much more playable since the patches proves that Bethesda pushed the game out the door too soon and could have released a much better product had it been delayed. I understand that patches are sometimes needed to fix bugs and glitches. Not to the degree that Bethesda relies on them though.
As for Dawnguard, I imagine it will release in late August, or early September. This is obviously just a guess on my part.
I never said Sony gets full blame on the patches thing if the patch limit thing is true, I was just pointing out that I read that somewhere. As a matter of fact, I don't even assume that the limited patches thing is true, just something that was said somewhere that should be taken into consideration. Bethesda does get at least some blame for not telling the full truth when it comes to patches on that platform, whatever that may be.
Additionally, I only said it is entirely possible that they are working on bug fixes. Entirely possible and very likely are not the same thing (and as you would guess, I am NOT holding my breath for any Dawnguard fixes that are not part of any of the base master files).
