PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 15

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 5:02 am

I would not say this because I think many of you are about to suffer a heart attack...but....the next DLC is exclusive for 30 days for X360
I really think they should just say "timed exclusive" next time

Link to where it isn't officially state please.
But I agree , any opinions right now are pure speculation , we know NOTHING.

We know that Dawnguard is on the Steam servers, drastically increasing the inevitable possibility that it will be at the very least released on the PC.

In case anyone missed it; http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720

If something is "exclusive" for a period of time it means after that time is up it becomes available to everyone. Fairly simple.

Whatever the reason for the extra delay we are probably going to hear when PC/PS3 is going to get the DLC "soon". I say "soon" as I don't know whether that will be tomorrow, end of next week or the week after, whenever, but we will here. As soon as they bare able to share the information, they will. Sorry guys you are just going to have to wait.

I just want to hear a release date, but probably they announce it one day before release date same as with xbox it was like: oh and guys dawnguard releases tomorrow...

Link to where it was officially stated "we never DG for any platform" please.
it says that they didn't announce DG for any other platform but xbox, but when they said 30 day exclusive I figured it must be coming out on either both PC/PS3 or just PC or PS3, thts usually wht a timed exclusive means or why do the exclusive at all, but as far as the term 30 day exclusive, which use to mean just that. has now got a whole new definition

I just hope the delay of the PC release isn't because of wanting to release the PS3 version simultaneously. If the PC release is ready to go, ship it, don't make it wait while the PS3 release is stuck in the notoriously slow PSN certification process. Anyone remember F3 DLC for PS3? I ended up buying a gaming PC because I got tired of waiting for F3 Broken Steel to come out for PS3. Might be time to start pricing XBox, lol.

Bethesda's unwillingness to announce a ship date makes me think that the actual date is not completely under their control. "Real soon now" probably means they've done everything they can, now it's in somebody else's hands.

I think after this whole episode is done and dusted, everyone on this forum will owe the mods a mead or two. There's something I think we can all agree on!

So do I if only to end all the rumors, guesses and downright rubbish that is getting posted in this thread - one day notice? Fine with me.

I have already got through a barrel or two of the stuff - but a little extra won't come amiss. ;)

In all fairness, there are much worse forums they could be faced with (the CoD forums spring to mind) but they have deffo has their work cut out for them lately... 0.o

Things haven't been that bad, a couple of these threads ago it needed a few strong words but this thread has been fairly civil and constructive - and I have to say thank you to all of you. I really do understand your frustrations, and I am waiting for DG as well. :)

Pete Hines was quoted as saying he never meant to imply that DG wasn't coming to PC/PS3 soon after the tweet you are talking about.

Here's the thing, the tweet you are quoting says "we have not ANNOUNCED plans or a timeframe for release". The important word there is capped. That sentence does not mean it's not coming out, just that there is no official date so dates from IGN etc should be ignored.

I think most PC/PS3 gamers are so upset because they [censored] love Skyrim, and every day Dawnguard doesn't come out gets worse. Why would anyone be this anxious for Dawnguard if they didn't like it?

Obviously myself included, I can't wait any longer.

thanks for trying to clear things up but I knew tht, the mod said that is was suppose to release after 30 day exclusive, and pete didn't even say tht, I was just hoping tht if they didn't actually change the meaning of 30 day exclusive tht its just a delay and I would feel I will see DG sooner than later.

I think someone in the PR department dropped a bollock when they decided to keep as schtum as they have been.

Hopefully we'll be able to chalk this up as a lesson learned, and dev-fan communication can be a little more... Transparent :)

Nope, I am only a member like you, (I just have a few extra fancy buttons on my moderator screen). I am interpreting the statements as I saw them.

what I really want to know is why are bugs holding them back for releasing DG(bugs didn't stop them releasing skyrim itself, and the more they wait the more money they loose) it just doesn't make sence, for their sakes I hope PC/PS3 versions are clean otherwise they are going to look bad

Gstaff said something similar regarding patch 1.6 on the PS3 about 2 months ago... Last week we learned that we wouldn't get 1.6 as a standalone patch, and had to wait until 1.7 (which we have no time table for) to get bug fixes that others have enjoyed for some time now.

So yeah, Bethesda's definition of "soon" may not be the same as yours or mine. Also, just because they promised info, doesn't necessarily mean it will be good info. The much anticipated info could be that Dawnguard was cancelled on other platforms.

Just throwin that out there.
