PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 16

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 12:27 pm

I hope everyone can be civil about this subject. While it's perfectly fine to have a negative opinion about the lack of a solid release date, you have to express them in a civil and mature way. We do not want to see immature hostile posts :nono:

Anyway, the only official word we have as of now, is from http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1398818-inquiries-re-dawnguard-release/. So unfortunately we have to wait until there is more information.
We have not announced release plans for Dawnguard on platforms other than Xbox 360 (available worldwide). As soon as there's any new information to share, we'll let everyone know.

Gstaff has also said he will have more information very soon.

That was the window for exclusivity, not an indication of when Dawnguard would be available on other platforms. The only date we set was for the Xbox 360 release.

I hope to provide more information in the very near future so you guys don't feel left in the dark. And sorry, there's only so many ways to say that without sounding like a broken record.

I own both PS3 and PC versions of Skyrim and I love the PC version more I love the steamworkshop/nexus mods they have for the game!! I really was sad to hear that dawnguard wasn't coming out right after the 360's 30 days was up for it but I can wait!! But to quell some of these rage comments and stuff is could we get another offical mod like crossbows or something like that from DG while we wait?? I can wait for DG but please don't leave us in the dark for too long :frog: Keep up the good work love to see more just plz no more exclusives I know its good for business but not to the fans! That's my 2 cents said.

I don't want to sound rude but is there really a point in those threads? they are mostly filled with hate/rage/flaming/desperation.

Not really. Every comment has the same fundamental message.

What I really love is these folks saying we need bugs fixed for Dawnguard for XBOX. :swear: Really? I think Bethesda fix the bugs for PS3 and release the DLC dawnguard for PC and PS3 first before you fix Dawnguard for XBOX 360. Because I think your sales will drop if you don't get to it! Please support PS3 and PC. Thank you. :ermm:

Since someone asked in the previous thread;

captainbobjones2012, on 29 July 2012 - 09:04 PM, said:

Hi Wesley,

obviously you can make out what the info says but many cannot so care to explain this a bit?

cheers!

Even though me and a few others explained this to death in previous threads;

Yes, the ID "72850" leads to Skyrim's page on the CDR Database (http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/72850). Skyrim's Steam store page ID is also "72850" (http://store.steampowered.com/app/72850/)

Some may assume that this DLC might be the High Res texture pack that is coincidentally classified as DLC. No, it is not the High Res Texture pack DLC since that DLC has a different CDR page and code entirely (http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/202485).

Let me tell you what the rage is about. You have an XBOX? If you do then you are ok but it has been months for Bethesda to even release a patch 1.6 for PS3. Then we hear things like Dawnguard not being supported on other platforms only XBOX! We are paying customers to and have not gone away. I really don't get it because we want to purchase Dawnguard and we are being ignored. The part of being ignored including the patch for PS3 that is way over due is very unfair. It is like XBOX has everything and we have nothing. I have never seen this before for any expansion of any game in all of the years I have been playing games. Oh by the way I play Skyrim on the PC.

"Wonderful! Time for a celebration... Cheese for everyone! Wait, scratch that. Cheese for no one. That can be just as much of a celebration, if you don't like cheese, true? You've run a maze like a good little rat. But no cheese for you yet. Well, maybe a little."

You must be a XBOX user so congratuations on your exclusivity! We are customers as well so I find what you say not agreeable. It is Bethesda's call they keep going this route they may find themselves with only XBOX customers. Just want to let them know. As for making thread that is why I am here.

No, but people will keep opening them up anyway so it's easier if people stick to one thread instead of cluttering the entire section up with identical threads.

Less work for the moderators? By keeping everything on the same subject in one thread (as we often do in the forums) it allows those who wish to discuss their opinions of the DLC delay chance to do so, as long as they keep things civil and mature there is no problem. I have to admit that after 15 threads the same things are just being rehashed, often by the same people, but ..........

It's just for PS3/PC users to vent out their anger.

Then there's people like me that continuously link the angered ones to a source of possible hope http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720 .

i should probably just bookmark that page now. I have a feeling i'll be linking it a lot.

so we made too much noise so now we don't deserve it? and do you really think the marketing employees at bethesda care to read at the game forums?

"very near future" sounds good, still believing in bethesda, after all they only said that 360 would have 30 days exclusive, not that DLC for PC would be released after 30 days.

but in gaming community 30 day exclusive actually means 30 day exclusive, unless they are allowed to change the meaning of things

yes, it means that after the 30 days bethesda can, if they want to, make the game available for other platforms

It is kind of ridiculous on continuing to flame Bethesda
In August of last year I believe(before skyrim was even released) - Microsoft came out and said that the first 2 expansion(dlc) would be exclusive to xbox for 30 days prior to release on pc and ps3

Granted we don't know explicitly the details of when that is (rather it included all language versions or what not) - but no where did they say they would not be released for pc and ps3
Why even mention the 30 day aspect if it was not coming to other platforms?
Those saying it was never planned for pc or ps3 need to stop the rumors and lies! If it were true, then Microsoft would have been oh so willing to mention and advertise like crazy that dlc was totally exclusive to xbox360. Get a grip people!!

Dawnguard will be released to pc and ps3; but maybe they are working on bugs or maybe they have to wait to release until all language versions have had for 30 days - either way it will eventually happen

Even if they mentioned it would be tomorrow - half the people here would still be griping because it is not today

Just imagine what could happen if Bethesda said:
" After the thirty days exclusivity we are releasing Dawnguard to the other systems ! "

People would actually love the company.

The first time you closed my thread I got the message. I was a forum moderator to and it is irritating that the same subject gets posted on separate threads.
