I'd just like to point out:
Xbox = Dawnguard
PC = Thousands of mods worth about 50 Dawnguards
I really don't see why PC gamers complain when they have tonnes of FREE content.
PS3 gamers have every right to whine though.
Thousands of mods worth 50 Dawnguards each? Lolwut? As far as the eye can see it's nothing but retextures, armor mash ups, and player house mods either so overwhelming and well stocked you might as well never leave them, or so muted and pointless you may as well not bother. The only quest mods that do show up at this point tend to be done entirely by notes and have about as much depth as "You found a letter asking you to kill a bro" followed by "grats on killin' a bro, bro, here's your castle."
Oh, don't forget the "Play as a latex covered fetish Barbie doll!" mods and the "sixy as hell, overpowered as superhell hot chick companion mod", that one is popular too. Or just good ol' fashioned gratuitous nudity.
WHERE do people keep getting this idea that the Workshop is crawling with huge, sprawling quest mods? Unless "Hey look, easy loot" encapsulates Dawnguard entirely, then sure.
I'd give mods back in a heartbeat if it meant not hearing this argument anymore. The only non-bugfix ones I have to my name is one that adds a small 10 shelf library to Breezehome.
Most of the cool quest mods for Bethesda games past Morrowind didn't come out until long, long after every DLC and patch were released, and official support for the game was over. The only game I can think of that got the "star treatment" that Morrowind once had was New Vegas.
