Yes, but Bethesda is the source of the vampires (the motherload).
(Molag Bal is manufacturing the vampires in Bethesda's basemant)

I just got off work in a foul mood, but this post has well and truly brightened up my evening. My thanks to you, m'lord *bows* :D

Have no fear brothers, a Currier just arrived at my house and gave me a letter that said from a friend. Upon opening the letter quest log was updated with "The sacrifice" I knew what had to be done. I'm on my way to Bethesda's head quarter's right now with my copy of Skyrim and a flash drive that has all my character's save's on them amounting to 700+ hours of game play. I shall travel into the Miden under their HQ and sacrifice myself into the Void that is the heart of there company. SACRIFICING MYSELF AND MY SKYRIM TO IT, TO RESTORE ITS GRACIOUSNESS, LIKE CHRIST ON THE CROSS I SACRIFICE MYSELF FOR YOUR SINS TO RESTORE ORDER!!!! Farewell brothers, I await you in Sovngarde!

Everyone threatening Bethesda and future sales cracks me up

TES games blow away any other game out there and always has and in five years if another elder scroll game is released
Those griping and threatening Bethesda will be standing in line waiting for a midnight release and griping because the guy in the front of the line gets its first

Bethesda may still have to wait to talk per contracts with Microsoft - none of us know? - and Bethesda will let everyone know eventually one way or another what is going on

This.

I kind of said this in another thread but yeah, being upset about being left in the dark is one thing, but to say you'll never buy another Bethesda product is just dumb. If they have really lost you as a customer, what are you doing here? lol Its because they are bluffing. People need to realize why they are upset, its not cuz bethesda svcks. Sure their buisness practices are a little annoying to those of us who have to wait but anyone in their position would do the same thing. Dont get me wrong though, I too am frustrated at the lack of info, but im not about to deprive myself of playing the best games ever.

According to gamehos.com, a grey market game site, Dawnguard will be released on the 17th of August. They have it listed at $27 but I don't think it'll be that high. I don't have permission to post links but I mentioned the site and you can easily find the info on your own.

Could also be their trying to hold off on releasing the pc version because they want a same day release for ps3 and pc. now i read the post on how supposedly easy it is to bring the dlc to pc. i wont touch that subject lol if i did ill be on here explaining from top to finish lol my eye sockets would explode lol. but as we already saw how the ps3 skyrim game is on its own lag fest so it might be very difficult to port it over to ps3 release. thats my opinion on why we dont have the pc and ps3 release yet

You mean to tell me, that you actually believe that a DLC is initially created in an Xbox format?

Something I just found myself, Crossbow animations already in the Creation Kit. Possibly from a recent update.

It could be that the DLC was coded with optimizations for the Xbox-360 platform, and is now being tailored with similar optimizations for the PC and PS3 platforms.

Ha! It still reads the same as it did the first time. However, whatever the porting protocol is, I don't see it as being an issue of delay.

Well.. I could see it being an issue for the ps3. Doesn't it already have a ton of issues without adding in new content?

Perhaps you're forgetting one thing, but have not had a period Dawnguard to create and test, called phase gold?
This makes me think that bethesda has thought of us (players PS3/PC) Only in the last 30 days away from release on the Xbox, since it's been a bad lavoroc, we will now suffer the consequences.

I think Bethesda is hitting shots when it came out Fallout New Vegas, perhaps are becoming standard as other gaming houses, which create games only for profit, not for love of propi fans to their games, because let's be clear, I loved all the games Bethesda, up to now.

Perhaps this is really the point, dear bethesda, on your steps back please, stop making crap.

your beloved fans.

I think I'd die of laughter if they say the pc release date is soon. Anyhow, considering steam seems to only add in new content on Tuesdays, it means next week at the earliest.

I wonder if Microsoft is going to take note on how much time their 30 day exclusive actually bought :P

When Dawnguard was announced I was really excited and couldn't wait for it to be released. After it was released on Xbox 360 I was like , fair enough, I'll wait a bit longer. Then the Steam summer sale hit, and I bought some sweet bargains, so I've now got this massive backlog of games to play and can't really decide which to start first.

So to be honest, after all this, I've lost interest in Dawnguard. The fact it's been released on the Xbox 360 has taken away any mystery in it's content, and Steam will see me playing other games for quite a while now. So while I'll inevitably buy Dawnguard at some point, it won't be on it's PC release, although it would have been bought on day one if it's PC release was the 360 release.

I don't see what there is to convert, for the PC. Dawnguard, as well as Skyrim, is created on the PC. Dawnguard is nothing but a mod. It is originally a bsa and an esm file. These are the same format that will be use for the PC. There is nothing to convert.

However, it has to be converted to a file for the Xbox to use as well as the PS3, I forget the extensions. People convert save games from Xbox to PC and the back to Xbox all the time. They are the same files, just with different extensions.

It takes a second to hit "Save as" and... bam! New extension.
My guess? They are holding DG to avoid shadowing the Dishonored release(damn good game mind you, suits my playstyle perfectly) AND due anti-piracy actions, they are probably working hard to armor it against quick crack(just to ruin those boycott sympathizers that just aren't patients enough to wait even more 2 days after the PC release for a good cracked version).

I really don't understand why only one person seems to have reacted to this post I made about 1 1/2 hours ago. I thought it was what this topic was all about, but nobody seems interested.
