PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 20 : V - Skyrim

Well, I'm certainly not happy about the PS3 situation. But at least there's a legitimate reason.
The 'update' on Bethblog seems a little ... Unclear, though. They didn't say they were actually going to release it for PS3.

Wow, I honestly feel bad for PS3 users man. That svcks. Hopefully this just means they are optimising it and that it's still coming. At least the update wasn't extremely vague and that they gave a reason for a delay.

Honestly, this is the best I've seen Bethesda handle a game release in a long time. They're quiet when they need to be quiet, and they speak up when it's important to speak up. It's not easy making a product for hundreds of thousands of people; adding multiple platforms to that doesn't help either.

From the bethblog link you can Dawnguard to a cart - I assume you purchase it (not going to yet, as I''ve got RL stuff to do before I get back to Skyrim). Out of interest, didn't the XBox DG cost $20? PC DG on steam is $25.

It was $19.99 for me.

My hearts go out to the PS3 users. It's rather troubling that Bethesda has a hard time with the PS3.

I guess steam is localised then? I'm in NZ - usually only buy boxed games.

Terrible news for PS3 users, Bethesda shouldn't have bothered trying to manage such an unruly console at all and left Skyrim out of it alltogether, but hindsight is 20/20.

Well he is right, the PS3 is obviously a problematic platform to develop for. You can't blame Beth for running into trouble after trying. However, you PS3 players truly deserve some nice treatment from Beth after all this trouble. Maybe a 50% price cut on DG (when it is there or somehting)

Yet Beth are pretty much the only ones who find it hard. Funny how other games are ok though with ps3

It has been announced that Dawnguard is now available for pc on Steam, unfortunately there is still a delay for PS3.
