I don't mind when they spell it wrong, but I have one of those names that people just can't seem to pronounce right on the first try. That really bugs me.

"No, my last name is not 'Blue'. How did you even get Blue from that?!"

Geonathan

This is absurd, are you serious? I have, however known a "Johnathan", which I always thought was strange. Anyway, my name is Micah, and I get all sorts of weird spellings and mispronunciations. It used to really bother/embarrass me, but after 26 years, I don't really care anymore; I either correct the person or let it slide and move on.

People always spell my surname wrong. I've even considered changing it by deed poll to something more 'normal' just so I don't have to keep spelling it to people :banghead:

My last name is Wolfe and people don't put the "e" on the end most of the time, but I correct 'em. My girlfriend is Susan, but goes by Suzy. She's gotten a lot of various misspellings. Sussie, Susy, Suzey, etc.

I don't mind accidental typos, but that hipster 'Imma name my kid a mispelled way so s/he can be unique' I find dumb as heck.

My last name is Zold, you'd be surprised at how many people mispell it or mispronounce it if they've not heard it aloud. So I know how you feel Spanky

You can spell Erik with a 'c' or a 'k' at the end, so people always have to ask. :P

My first name is Shane so... no one ever messes up on that but my surname (Which I shalln't post) has never been spelled right in my entire life. Sad thing is it's only 6 letters long but people have trouble with German names, especially when you pronounce them right rather than like an American.

My name is Josh, I have seen someone spell it "Johs", I guess they thought of John where the H comes first.

Also, I invariably spell my own middle name wrong. I don't have to use it very often, and my first and surname are really simple, so the long middle name always ends up missing a vowel or something. :P

You think spelling your name wrong is bad?

Only my family (including some cousins, aunties and uncles, and my mum) have ever pronounced my name correctly: Georges.

Everyone calls me George. And some people called me George-ass (lol). Well, idiots who can't pronounce my name in french.

I no longer care now though, but I dreaded the first day of class each year in school.

My name is Clint, so it is hard for people to spell it wrong. It does make me made when people decide to call me Clinton for some reason, I immediately tell them that is not my name.

My name gets spelt incorrectly often - how they manage to get [censored] instead of Rohugh - perhaps it is as a result of a "nice" PM I sent them. :D

Out of curiosity, how is it pronounced?
