Yeah well it's going to be really [censored] dumb if something like Unarmed ends up having 15.

I will be happy, though, if the academic skills end up having way more books than the meathead skills; how much can you really learn about using guns or a sword or being sneaky from reading a book?

Who knows? Likely each area designer put in a book if they felt the area warranted it or needed it, and they later just looked at the GECK to see if they had too many. It is the same way with the skill magazines. The number of them in the game doesn't divide evenly between all the skills.

I agree, Azula. Being former military, I know that no book can be a substitute for practice with a firearm in your hands. But who knows how much thought the designers put into their book placements and division?

Id say right off in goodspings you likely get the wasteland survival guide and likely a melee or unamred guide and a guns guide.

Searching for books, seems like a waste of time.
