have also noticed graphics change.. was one of the first to post a difference, posted almost IMMEDIATELY after patch based off my own experience, i noticed grainier grass textures in whiterun, and crappier looking road texture in whiterun. and duller looking wood, and the wall textures look almost old school duke Nuke'm up close
Also the graphical settigns on the PS3 are hardwired sorry to say, and the graphical data it saves ( or should save) is XYZ coordinates and particular bitmap/ image ID and maybe distance to main character XYZ location for a particular closer, high res model/texture ID ( if you play you notice the res get's higher as they get closer so there is a resolution phasing that occurs) THAT IS IT. therefore it is IMPOSSIBLE to corrupt texture/graphics data in a save file as the texture/model resolution is pre determined by the engine based on "perceived" distance, so if somethign is close and hasn't phased yet to a higher res, next time you load the game and the engine catches it, it should regardles that the save data said otherwise.
i also mess with 3d rendering software for fun which may attribute my eyes looking at details, so Gstaff or whatever is lying, maybe not intentionally but he is. there are simply TOO MANY people noticing a graphical difference and too many people that noticed it within minutes after the patch, with no way of the people playign to the game to notice then read, then post. i wasn't experfienceing bad lag problems BEFORE the patch, so a lower res setting or AA was given to the main game engine program to acheive hgiher frame rates, this is a common trick people use on lower end rigs to increase FPS to play the game. sorry guys, but they did change, and it was painfully obvious to me on a 50 inch 720 P screen ( even though my mode is 1920x1080) on an HDMI cable.
for those of you not seeing differences, maybe your lucky, since after all this game has very WEIRD bugs, but seriosuly.. cell processor needs to take on GPU duties Bethesda, and you need to USE THAT ARCHITECTURE TO IT"S FULLEST!
