I was pretty skeptical of him first, thinking of him as Jacob 2: The Sequel. But I think he's quite cool actually. Greatly exaggerated physique but I like his attitude.

I don't mind him too much, but they really could have toned down the whole "Gung-ho marine" act. He just doesn't seem like a Mass Effect character at times.

In other news. Got my commendation pack a little bit ago. It had the Hurricane in it. Haven't had the chance to test it out yet but I've heard it's one of the better N7 weapons. Someone in my Xbox live party did test it out though, and the recoil is so heavy on it that I could clearly see it even when I wasn't playing the character. I don't think I'm going to be using anything like that for anything beyond point-blank range.

James is still the worst character out of the playable ones but he's a 100 times better then Jacob, "Heavy Risk but the Prizzze".

Hurricane is pretty good, at least with squaddies. Of the N7 weapons my favorite is the Crusader shotgun, which is more of a semi-automatic rifle because it's insanely accurate to long distances.

If I could, I'd dump Vega on Virmire instead of Kaiden. Or out an airlock. Whichever. That said, he's going to be part of my Final Mission crew if I manage to play ME3 again

My victory pack had a Geth Pulse Rifle in it. Tried it out in one game.... without any extra bonuses (like the heavy barrel or upgrading it to V or X), it just doesn't do much damage. Good way to get lots of Assists, not so good for kills.


Only N7 gun I've gotten so far (in a Spectre pack) is the shotgun pistol. Meh.

Same here, athhough I was hoping for the Valiant Sniper Rifle myself. I think the pistol was the most common drop. I've run into only people with it.

I suppose. I most of the time play with my Quarian infiltrator. I use that semi-auto sniper-meets-assault-rifle which I through sheer luck have in IV model. It does not do 1-hit-kills and it has least damage of sniper rifles, but it's high rate of fire and large capacity usually takes me to the top of the score chart.

Eh, I've never found phantoms worthy of demonic spiderdom. Warp away that barrier and their toast. What I really hate is getting cornered by multiple Banshees.

On non-biotic classes they can be. I have no trouble with them on my Vanguard or Adept, but trying to take one on as an Infiltrator is a pain.

I like him. Likewise, I thought I'd just find him irritating, but he seems like a good guy. I found I used him a similar amount of time to Garrus and Ashley as my team's "artillery".

Never used vega, as a choice, first it was Garrus till i got Ashley, then it was Ashley and Liara.

On a personality level, I like Vega. As a team member I used him pretty sparingly - there was generally just a much better person to choose from. If I wanted a gunner I'd probably just use Garrus.

Pistols are useless in this game.

You, good sir, have obviously not used Paladin. Assault troopers are one hit kills. Legionaries are two or three hit kills. Int he single player, atleast

As for Vega, he grew on me. Didn't like him at first, but he turned out be a pretty cool guy. I always give him Revenant and Claymore, and take him with me against Reapers. Still, he looses to Garrus

Yeah, they were the ones that killed me most on my Infiltrator. Cloack and Headshot, but they don't go down from one shot, and they are quick and have cloack too. Easy with my soldier though, just unload a Revenant in their general direction

If your an Adept then Pistols are a good backup weapon to an SMG, otherwise I agree.

I'm having a blast with Vanguard in Multiplayer. Four matches bronze and silver I've always had ten to twenty thousand point lead on the other guys. Biotic Charge + Nova + Heavy Melee = epic win. Got a relatively good shottie to boot, though I'd kill for a Geth plasma.

I just can't get a good handle on Vanguarding. Which is a shame, because I keep getting unlock cards for the things (I'm up to around level 11 or 12, and I've only played one game as a Vanguard. My male human is unlocked all the way to lights, and the Asari to patterns. It's one of the two classes that I have all four races unlocked for.)

I was curious, and checked it out. I seem to be getting a lot more "Male Human" class unlock cards than "Female Human". Comparing how many appearance options are unlocked, I've gotten 12 Male and 1 Female. (Oddly, that one is on Infiltrator, the only class I haven't gotten a Male unlock for.)

Yeah, it's not hugely important, but you can do some interesting things once you have more appearance options. And, of course, I prefer to play the female characters. So of course.....


Also, does anyone else have problems with MP store transactions going through? A high % of the time, it just gives me "sorry, couldn't be processed" pauses, refunds the credits.... and then, hours later, when I try playing again, my credits are gone and the pack has been bought. But with no idea what upgrades I found, unless it's obvious. (like a new weapon showing up)
