Would you take immortality?

i completely agree, if you didn't do it in the 70 or so years you lived, you won't do it, ever..
So, since I never got around to climbing Mt. Everest and snowboarding down it because I was to preoccupied with base jumping off the Burj Khalifa, I would never do it, ever, even if I had all the time in the world?

Also, If it's impossible to have the financial reserves to do everything you wanted it on lifetime (unless you're a millionaire, and even then, you're to occupied with being a millionaire), but if you had all the time in the world you could eventually do and pay for everything you wanted to do, or just rob a bank if you're invincible and immortal.

Because say you do accomplish everything, then what? it's like when you complete a game 100% then it's lost a majority of it's appeal, but unlike a game, you won't be able to make a new save unless you decide to throw your life to the wind, RP a new life as someone else.

I wouldn't disagree with extended mortality, but Immoratility is a bleak and lonely existence.

But, there is still a point to getting that 100%, obviously since a lot of people strive to do that in games. But, that's the point at which you have to make a decision, do you continue to live in this bleak and lonely world, or do you end your existence?

I'd take immortality. The grandest existence I can imagine would be to become a space-faring vehicle capable of exploring space. When the time came and I grew bored of immortality I'd just self-euthanise and see what adventures follow that (if any).

Again, depending on how you look at it, I have an immorality of some sort. I am going to forever.

In that case, I'd rather wait a few years until I become immortal
Yeah you've gotta make sure you're at least 18 or 21 - that way your eternal life isn't competely boring :D

I just watched an episode of the Twilight Zone. A hypochondriac man sells his soul to the devil for immortality, with the promise of an escape clause. The man plays around with suicide, jumping in front of trains and buses, ingesting chemicals, before getting bored enough to kill his wife. He plans to try the electric chair but they sentence him to prison until the end of his days without chance of parole. He then calls upon the devil to take his life.
His problem was that he didn't realize he was in the twilight zone. Never make a deal with the devil in the twilight zone. You might end up like the guy who asked the devil to be sent back in time, to get a fresh start, but still had his old, ragged body despite looking young.
