Nope, not immortality and eternal youth with the ability to heal any wounds at least.
-You still feel pain
-You'd still have your mortal tendencies (such as feeling hunger, which can be as much psychological as a physical need)
-You have maybe 20 years at one go in the current world before people start catching on. Maybe can push 40 by moving around, but after that the government will catch on
-Due to the above, you have limited prospects of earning large sums of money
-Once people notice you are on the run
-Once you get caught, they will experiment on you (and you still feel pain)
-Eventually the world will be uninhabitable
-The time passing would drive you mad
-Everyone you cared about on any level will die, always
-Basically everything on here: http://www.cracked.com/article_18708_5-reasons-immortality-would-be-worse-than-death.html
Even immortality with the ability to off myself wouldn't appeal much to me. My main reasons for wanting immortality would be to experience the world as it advances, and as mentioned, you only have 20-40 year shots before having to disappear. As time goes on, your ability to reappear will be hampered by improved surveillence and identity management. Eventually you won't be able to re-integrate in society and be forced to live in a third world country or off the grid. Neither of those appeals to me in the least.
The only path I'd take is if I was granted immortality phoenix-style AND there were a group of us (preferrably 20+). Then we can pool our resources together and help cover up for each other. It's the only version of immortality I see having a working potential.
