Wow... Leave the guy alone, he does have a point, and that point is Beth shoves certain content down your throat ruining RP, what about the Stones of Barenziah? Forced to join the Thieves Guild for that one, but not before Brynjolf jumps on you the first second you enter Riften anyway, but i guess COD kiddies don't know what RP means.
Oblivion was more free then Skyrim, at least you didn't have people jumping on you forcing you to join their guild.

How in heck does Brynjolf force you to join the TG? When he tries to talk to you, just exit and walk away as he talks himself... He only 'force-talk' once and can easily be avoided... As for the Stones, THEY ARE A THIEVES GUILD QUEST so it makes since why you have to join the TG for them!

~Edit~

Heck, even if you do decide to stay and listen, all you need to do is Decline his offer.

No one forces to join anything. Brynjolf offers to join, you still can refuse. You mean to tell me you never met anyone in real life who would offer you something or be forced to do something you don't like to get something you like?

Are you telling me you don't want to cast a single freaking spell...? I mean I understand for roleplaying purposes, but even then, its not a huge deal. They aren't asking you to get 100 Illusion or something...

I realize there is other ways round it now but the point is my character actually couldn't "cast a single freaking spell", Summon Flame Atronach cost's 150 magicka and as this character has never done any magic he would have to level up 5 times and spend 10 points on magicka each time just to be able to cast the spell, unless you have the prior knowledge of the game to find a way round it that’s a pretty big thing to force someone to do.

Go to the shop in the same town and buy the fortify magica potion they're selling. That's what my character - who is otherwise strictly non-magic - did.

I could be wrong (usually am), but I heard you don't even need to cast a spell to get into the College of Winterhold. You can just use a shout, and they let you in as the Dragonborn.

"Fus"!

Now if you are going to complain that your character doesn't use shouts either, I will contact Bethesda and they will come and confiscate your copy of Skyrim...

You could use your Speech skill and get in. Cast a spell. Or Shout, if you did enough of the MQ.

You dont have to do any MQ quests to go through DH

Not a single one or college quests. There are work arounds for the dg questline you just have to look.

It's a RPG, not action adventure!! People like making a character and sticking to a roll. Being the leader or member of every guild is poorly thought out.

No it's not. It's an action game with RPG elements.

You're right. I fusrodah her right in the face, and she just takes it, then hops on my balls for being able to shout. Kinda funny. Anyway, for your second reply, I second that. People complain way too [censored] much instead of svcking it up and looking for a workaround.

Nocturnal can't have my soul for two reasons: I'm a vampire lord, and I'm not returning the key.

you also have to be a thief for some of the dawnguard radiant quests. I hate that, I am a warrior.

My reasons are: Werewolf... And "**** you Nocturnal, The key is mine!"

Vampire Lord, and the Night Mother won't let that hussy Nocturnal even touch me. I belong to Sithis.

Wow... just... wow. Doesnt this make you want to just take a taxi down to bethesda studios and march around with complaint signs? Hopefully not but that would be hilarious to watch.

Protest #1: We need jobs!
Protest #2: We need healthcare!
Protest #3: We want our fictional characters in an imaginary world to have more options!

Arent there more important things to whine about?

People with these kinds of responses to a complaint on a RP game forum just mindboggle me. That sort of, frankly foolish response closed out with the one where your parents tried to get you to eat your vegies by saying children are starving in Africa. If the game is so unimportant to you why aren't you posting on some political forum instead. Now wait over in the humdrumvee while we continue our conversation in the funvee.

Maybe some of us would like to just drop the pieces of the crown or tell Brynjolf to drop dead or here's a radical idea, turn him in or take down the flippin thieves guild like the conversation with Mjoll practically promises you'll get a chance too.

I'm on PC and as soon as a mod that kept him from that conversation was made , I downloded it. My questlog is so cluttered with crap I'll never do its hard to find what I want to do. tabbing out of every conversation just in case so a quest won't start is a bad answer. I love Skyrim to death and have almost no complaints but thats one.
