PS3 Release for Dawnguard, DLC etc... #35

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 7:15 pm

Just a game true, but real world shenanigans.
Yes. They have lied, they have made misrepresentations and really without some serious effort they don't get this fan back, but I'm still not gonna be like 'u die in a fire' if we don't get DLC.

I'm cautiously optimistic, but if they fail is it gonna be a surprise to anyone? They have failed historically thus far.

This could mean a lot of things.
1. It could mean that PS3 gets Dawnguard and nothing else yet, and PC gets Dragonborn.
2. Could also mean that both will get Dragonborn but PS3 still won't get Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
3. Could also mean that both get Dragonborn and PS3 get both Dawnguard and Hearthfire too.
4. Could also be a whole new small dlc that Xbox doesn't have.

It could mean that PS3 gets Dawnguard and nothing else yet, and PC gets Dragonborn.
thats absurd.
Could also mean that both will get Dragonborn but PS3 still won't get Dawnguard and Hearthfire.
I would be fine with this..vamipires/werewolfs are over done. And the Sims, in my Skyrim? lol, all though, A house in Dawnstar would be nice.
Could also mean that both get Dragonborn and PS3 get both Dawnguard and Hearthfire too.
Could also be a whole new small dlc that Xbox doesn't have.
Eh, I'd really rather everyone is equal. Xbox players shouldn't be left out, regardless of this awful ordeal..They deserve a piece of it too.
And honestly, Solstheim is the only one I am dieing to play..Actually got me back into the game after months of collecting dust.

Nobody knows. Nobody knows if that's the content we're actually getting either.

Well, hopefully they finally deliver us what was promised but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. But whatever DLC content is going to be, they better release it either this month or next month.

If the dragonborn dlc is bigger than dawnguard wouldn't that mean bethesda will have a harder time working on it for the ps3? Im not trying to bring a negative atmosphere i was just wondering , i really want dawnguard and dragonborn dlc.

This right here is why I'm not a PC gamer. I really don't have the extra cash, nor the desire to bow to the requirements of spending a few hundred dollars every year or even every other year just so I can play the new game. Yes, I know they look far and away better, not to mention the modding community, but I don't want to have to ask; "Gee, this new game looks awesome! Can my computer run it, or do I need to spend more money to upgrade it before I buy the game?" If I buy a console, I know every game I buy for that console will be able to run....Well, except of course for Bethesda titles...

You do realize you don't need to do it every year, or even every other year to run minimum right?
Even medium settings you dont need to. And medium settings will be like on par, or greater than the system graphics at times. Of course, ultra would surpass.

PS3 and 360 have been able to run games for years without the techs being replaced to keep up. The graphics are just toned down, which you can do with the PC manually.

There are people who haven't changed their graphics card for 5+ years and can still play the current games. Just invest in a good quality card, and it'll last you.

Yes, you hear about people buying a new card annually But those are fanatics who have to have every game they ever play run on ultra without a single pixel out of place because of the graphics card. Alot of hardcoe gamers out there, but you can be casual with your PC and it'll still last you.

wish they'd come out with some dlc to entail the lore pertaining the lorkhan the emperor sent his blades to collect the pieces of.... just saying... instant "elves obey me or I make lorkhan wipe your existence from reality with a wish spell" -.- just saying it be funny yet so worth it, also have it set with the statement "halt criminal scum!"

Well, that's good info, but still. I was/am never any good at wasd+mouse gaming. Not to mention, I like playing on my big screen tv. A computer monitor just wouldn't do it for me.

HAPPY 11/11/12 EVERYONE!! 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SKYRIM!!! YOU ARE 1 YEAR OLD TODAY!! Soon expecting Dragonborn....You're growing up so fast!

So, now it's official. One year of Bethesda scrambling to repair their absolutely terrible image. Have they done it yet? Nope. Can they? That remains to be seen, but if we take the past into account, no they can't.

Perhaps Skyrim, and the black eye given to them by the media, will finally be the lesson they need to learn a cheap port does not work. They have been doing it since Oblivion. It has not worked since, yet for some unknown reason they keep trying.

I really don't know what they are going to do. They have announced "new content" (never said DLC). Who knows what that will be? We all know what happens when they have tried DLC on an already broken game (hello Fallout 3 and New Vegas). I really don't see any DLC for Skyrim working. I'm not being pessimistic here, but it's obvious they have done another port job and Skyrim is another broken game on the PS3 console. How can they possibly release any DLC without the game becoming completely unplayable? Personally, I think we will get some weapon and armor packs, maybe a "face changer", and something no more complicated than horse armor.

As far as the patches go, like I've stated many times before, if one builds a house with a foundation made from balsa wood and cardboard, one cannot expect to just fix the walls with plaster when they start to crumble and expect the house to stand. One must completely destroy and rebuild the house properly from the ground up.

If only they could tell us already what's coming to the PS3. I mean it's November 11 .. the day it released .. it would be a perfect day.

Man if they are going to take like 3 more months i am OVER. I am done with this game. I will quit forever. I won't play it again .

So 1 year since they screwed ps3 players. Hopefully they buy us dinner before they do it again today. Hope I don't find bugs in my food, we all know how hard it is for them to get those out.

yeah i never had any problems with new vegas or FO3, both worked perfectly even with DLC. Blaming the game for the hardware problems is pretty stupid

Could you elaborate on the hardware issue? Any actual evidence to back that up?

I think some of the stability problems that can occur depend on the PS3 and what else is on it. Skyrim on my system works just fine, minus the occasional freezing (Although that's probably the console's fault). What's funny is that my PS3 is an older model and can still play a game like Skyrim without many problems.

Care to explain what you did different then? Vanilla FO3 was a twitchy mess with many freezes for me - with the DLC it became an unplayable mess, with my console (hard) freezing every 15-20mins.. dropping to xmb without reason, some save game corruptions, disappearing inventory items. Point Lookout was a slideshow for me (that DLC took me 30 hours to slog through and not in a good way)

FO NV was just the same, freezing, glitches, drops to the xmb.. I never bothered with the DLC for FO NV - why bother, just more of the same..

Bethesda is the problem, maybe you should stop apologizing for their crappy software.

 It's been one year now and some people still come with that lousy excuse. It's just BAD CODING!
