yeah i never had any problems with new vegas or FO3, both worked perfectly even with DLC. Blaming the game for the hardware problems is pretty stupid
I think some of the stability problems that can occur depend on the PS3 and what else is on it. Skyrim on my system works just fine, minus the occasional freezing (Although that's probably the console's fault). What's funny is that my PS3 is an older model and can still play a game like Skyrim without many problems.
I'm not saying that it isn't a coding problem. All I'm saying is that you can't blame the game for every problem. Hardware is partially to blame too. That's just common sense. And no, I'm not trying to start an argument. Just stating a fact is all. Either way, the freezing that occurs isn't exclusive to Skyrim since it's also happened when I play Assassin's Creed 3 and other games.
blaming the game for hardware issues is pretty stupid? no wonder bethesda still hasn't changed their habit when there are still people who defend it!
noone forced bethesda to release skyrim or fallout 3 or fallout new vegas on ps3. the ps3 hardware is no mysterium. bethesda knows what's in there and as professionals they should also know what kind of hardware is needed to play their games.
that said it should be fairly easy to decide if the provided hardware is capable of playing the game in an acceptable way.
now if you take into consideration that you've got an existing engine, which you created on your own, you should clearly know if a given hardware can run this engine without having problems.
accepting occasional freezes is only the first step, but a major one. on consoles, there should not be freezes. on computers i can accept it, as there are so many different hardware configurations. on consoles, there is only one configuration and it seems to be relatively easy to test the game/engine.
the freezing obviously also is not exclusive to one system (console) so we don't have anything other to blame than the game!
