Well they say the world will end on December 21st 2012, so maybe Bethesda is quietly sitting back and hoping that it is true lol.

That is about as much trust I have in them at this point even though they say that they are close to releasing stuff, whatever that may be because they won't tell us just yet. Still I am a little more positive about the whole thing, than I was before, because of the announcement.
But as I said in the last thread new content for PC and PS3 could mean pretty much anything. For obvious reasons PC can't get anything new except for Dragonborn, unless they are given a dlc that even Xbox doesn't have. New for the PS3 could be either Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, something that Xbox doesn't have or it could be any mix of the mentioned.

If they only release either Dawnguard or Hearthfire or even both of them by the time the others get Dragonborn, then I still won't be pleased because then we can get another long wait before we get that one. The hype is pretty much over for both Dawnguard and Hearthfire and a lot of people already know what the content is even though they haven't played it.

I don't even want to think about the kind of [censored] storm that would happen if Beth issued one piece of exclusive content to each platform. It would be nightmare city here on the forums, the complaining would be horrible.

I Imagine us getting a dlc with crossbows, dragonbone weapons and werewolf perk trees.
I would be pissed lol

maybe you can help me with this:
can anyone here imagine a situation where bethesda would have dawnguard and hearthfire running acceptable on ps3 and then only tweet that new content is coming?
what could be a reason for that? i mean they received a lot of positive feedback with the latest statement, but it would have been even more positive if they had mentioned DG+HF.

I find it funny that people are still hoping for dlc. In around a month we will hear Bethesda telling us that they tried everything and failed , only to move on and to continue their duties of being microsoft's lapdog.

Not having DLC did not take away from the vanilla game, and waiting for DLC doesn't take away from the gameplay itself.

Sure, but the vanilla game is this a broken mess on the PS3. The lagging and the freezes are so annoying that the game is almost unplayable. And the worst thing is that Bethesda lied to us about the "new engine" and "parity with the Xbox version" so I think they should definitely show some sort of compensation.

Boycotting the game is just a dumb idea, and makes it obvious an entire fanbase is ungrateful of Bethesda's work.

Why should we be grateful? For all the lies about how good the PS3 version is? For all the patches that fix DLC bugs we don't even have? This game is broken as all their games were so Bethesda told us fairy tales to us to make us buy Skyrim. Boycotting is the best idea to avoid getting ripped off.

If we don't get Dawnguard, just throw in the crossbow for free. That was one of the main reasons I was going to purchase Dawnguard.

Mine was dragonbone weapons the crossbow and a possible buff to magic... ya know so it's not to heavy favoritism to sword and board...

I signed up to give my $.02. Been reading the forums for a long time now. I have a feeling us PS3 owners are getting Dragonborn but not DG or HF. Wasn't it mentioned that in DB we are going back to Morrowind? So that means we are leaving Skyrim and are loading into an area in Morrowind. Import over our Character information but all of the towns, people and other creatures in Skyrim are not loaded into the memory. Where as DG and HF will be adding onto the already taxed RAM.

I read another post a few threads ago say that Dragonborn is larger than Dawnguard so if they can get DB we can get DG. The issue is Dragonborn is not larger than DG + Skyrim. By loading into a separate area this would allow them to free up some RAM so the game can be "stable" enough to release it.

I seriously hope I am wrong, but it's just what I'm feeling is going to happen.

They got two entire expansions with a third on the way; nobody cares what they'll cry about because we got it worse and always will.

Amen brother!!!!

Here is my hopeful (still have some hope yes) guess. Dragonborn is in Morrowind, not Skyrim. Perhaps a separate save file, but a smaller world than skyrim so easier on the RAM of PS3. That being said, adding in the option to build a house in Skyrim, and DG type missions in Morrowind instead of Skyrim. So it is exclusive content to PS3... kinda.... just set in Morrowind and not Skyrim.

Anyone else find it funny that the one year anniversary of Skyrim came and went, and Bethesda didn't seem to make anything of it?
Not one post, no silly pictures, nothing.
I guess since the Dragonborn trailer post has over 500 comments made by angry PS3 users, Bethesda didn't want to stir up the hornet's nest anymore than they have already done.

Something tells me the frequency of blog posts about Skyrim will be kind of "light" until 12/4, and then again until the inevitable GOTY version comes out. Unless gstaff likes people flaming him and the abuse that comes along with it. Poor bastard, I would hate to have his job right now.

I still can't believe they are trying to fix Skyrim on the PS3 in it's current state (if one believes they are trying). I think we've all come to a consensus that a full rewrite, recode, reprogram, recall, and re-release is the only way to "fix" it.

Even though the DB and DG content looks fun, I still hope most of all that we can get Hearthfire. I'm probably in the minority, but I love money-sinks in games like these. It's the reason why I played the Sims 2, why I still play Civ4, why I'm probably going to get a PC capable of playing Sim City (5).

Just like everyone on the PS3, I would like to play Dawngaurd. But if they release Dragonborn on the PS3 befor Dawngaurd I will be quite upset. From what i understand (correct me if I'M wrong) Dragonborn containes flashbacks and spoilers for Dawngaurd. I want to play both in a bad way BUT I dont want spoilers.

Dawnguard has been spoiled for A LOT of people already. Once something is released, it's almost impossible to not have it spoiled. Everywhere you go online, there will be people talking about it. HOPEFULLY we'll all get Dragonborn at the same time, or close to it. We shouldn't have to wait so long that the game loses its freshness. I want to play it and be able to experience everything with a clean slate, not with expectations of what is to come.

I wouldnt know lol. I read only a little bit about Dawngaurd like the new weapons armor and abilities. I know nothing about the storyline. I want to save that for when or if we get it and if Dragonborn has any flashbacks of Dawngaurd then that would ruin the Dawngaurd experience for anybody who actually likes skyrim. I think that the whole Bethesda/DLC issue is BS but for the game itself its fun despite the buggs that it has. But i still feel Dawngaurd should be released before Dragonborn on the PS3 for the ones who actually antisepate that DLC. I want to be a vampire lord before i start to ride dragons more then anything.
