PS3 Release for Dawnguard, DLC etc... #36 : V - Skyrim

I thought dawnguard would be out at least a month after they said they were getting help from sony.Hopefully sony was able to help them out with hearthfire and dragonborn dlc aswell.

I don't really see why they need sonys' help. I mean they said that the PS3 is a powerful system but in reality both PS3 and 360 have the same amount of power it's just that the PS3 is split into 2 wile 360 is all in one spot. Wouldn't it be easier to make it for PS3 then port it to the 360? Not trying to show favortisom for just one system. Both have points where they shine and where they are flawed. I have only seen 1 game and no DLC held back this long for having 'issues' running on just one system.

this is for Vamp, there is a way to use your ps3 controller for skyrim. motion joy does wonders, it's how I use my controller for the desktop. much much easier for combat and traveling than keyboard and mouse.

If we don't get Dawnguard, just throw in the crossbow for free. That was one of the main reasons I was going to purchase Dawnguard.

I feel the same way about Dragon Bone Weapons!

I find it annoying that you are trying to make people mad about something that has not happened yet.

I remain "cautious but optimistic".

All this waiting around well beyond the original intended release dates and minimal communication/feedback from the Bethesda Devs and PR is not helping at all:

But I will be a happy person when the 1st DLC for the PS3 gets released, and the 2nd and the 3rd...

my ps3 copy works ok except for a few crashes and the rare occasion when my charecter wont move.

actually I have my computer connected to a tv screen, and you can buy game controllers for PC games so there really isnt much a difference besides the ability to update further xD

same here....i actually have had very good luck apparently with Bethesda games fallout 3 and new Vegas didn't have game braking bugs but it did crash every once and a wile..... but nothing to make me rage quit...

but its like the PR person said DG would work on some systems and not on others....so really a hit or miss thing...

Speaking of luck..your going to love this. Was making my way up to Hrothgar on my Theif..came across everyone's favorite troll. Staying out of sight I started sniping it with my bow and arrow, then came the kill cam...final arrow flew at the troll revealing what I had not seen cause of distance. Every arrow I shot up to that point as well as the final one was hitting dear troll face right in the family jewels

@BDG420 Yeah when i heard that they needed sony's help i knew that the problem is difficult to solve on their own so they needed assistance from sony, because its harder to code in for the ps3 ,Especially a massive game like skyrim or oblivion,fallout,etc.Maybe it would have been easier to build it from scratch for the ps3 instead of porting it.

I visit this forum everyday. The first thing i look at when i click on "dawnguard general discussion" was the pinned thread that said "ps3 dlc update" that gstaff updated on August 30th. ITS GONE!!!!! I wonder if that is a sign that something is coming soon?!?!

lulz I always rip him a new one with ever character I'm playing as, warrior, jack of all trades, Archer, doesn't matter that troll dies. yeah lately for me it's been Need for speed most wanted, medal of honor warfighter and morrowind with minecraft thorwn in

The Update thread was there this morning because I saw it was last updated August and thought they should update it with the new info. However with this thread and the first post containing said info the other thread was kind of redundant.

I have a hunch that there will be an update tomorrow, I mean they missed the anniversary but announcing another update (good or bad) on 11/13/12 still has an order to it...

Good. I'm happy for you. Keep in mind there are millions that cannot say the same.

I know there's a lot of PS3 owners having a lot of trouble witrh Skyrim, but millions? Not even close. Many thousands I can believe, but not millions.

One imagines they skipped the year anniversary due to the bad press regarding PS3 DLC, they would probably have LOVED to have done something, but as was said, it would've been bombarded with bad press from, heck, everyone from Gaming magazines to irate 'fans'. Think of it as people complaining making a difference, proving that they can't just throw out massive media showoffs based around fancy release dates.

As for getting content, well, I'm mildly hopeful, but to be honest, I'd prefer to get all three, rather than just one. I can accept Oblivion was quite stunted in terms of DLC, I'm not sure I could stomach it on Skyrim.

Oh well, wait and see.

I was close to trading in my PS3 copy of Skyrim but then I read the update from Howard and I was glad that I have held onto it. If we only get the Dragonborn DLC I would be happy but it would be good if they included dragon bone weapons. If we got all 3 I would be extremely happy. But I Could live with just the one. I would just be happy to be able to dust it off after not playing it in a few months.

The fact they've removed the 'update on ps3 dlc' sticky makes think that dlc in the way many people are expecting (ie dawnguard et al)
is not coming but some kind of consolation effort is. Or in fact I could be wrong and be's acting against previous form and is
going to deliver what they've been saying. Meh, we'll see....
