------------------------------------------------

It's new content for those specified platforms.

We're not getting into the specifics of what content is being released right now, but we are working on bringing content to PS3 and PC. It'll be content that's not already on those platforms.

To be clear, the tweet means there is new content for PS3 and PC users.

Mounted combat came within a title update. This is more than a title update.

No, not yet. But it is add-on content.
It has been http://www.bethblog.com/2012/08/02/dawnguard-ps3-update/ that the PS3 version will be delayed a bit as they are still working to ensure acceptable performance on the platform.

Gstaff, on 30 August 2012 - 06:52 PM, said:

Earlier in the month, we provided an update on Dawnguard's status for PS3.

It's been a few weeks, and we wanted to make sure everyone knows where we're at with Dawnguard. Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard. We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1413248-ps3-release-for-dawnguard-thread-23/# to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.

We wish we had a more definitive answer right now. We understand the frustration when the same content is not available on all platforms. When we have an update, we will certainly let you know. We deeply appreciate all the time and support you have given us, and we’ll keep doing our best to return that.

Additional information from Pete Hines in response to Dawnguard:

"Yes, it’s just doesn’t perform well in all scenarios. Some folks would be fine, some would not.”

One of Bethesda’s top PR execs, Pete Hines, (who holds the position of VP of PR and marketing), tweeted to a question that concerned the release date, saying, “No, we will not release it if we can’t get the performance to an ‘acceptable’ standard. Our stance on this has not changed.”

According to Gstaff http://www.bethblog.com/2012/10/04/hearthfire-available-on-steam/comment-page-1/#comment-278242:

Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:57 am:

We haven’t given up. We’re still working to see what’s possible.

Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 10:15 pm:

Our team is still working to make PS3 content available on PS and doing everything possible to make it a possibility.

@ Azrim from the previous thread

I set myself a limit of £'s and a minimum specs requirement - the specs I wanted came in well under budget so I went for more, Quad instead of dual core, more RAM and better CPU and graphics card and a 1TB HDD...and the best part is I was still under budget for a wicked gaming rig.

I so wanted to play Skyrim on it but i can't do the wasd+mouse and my gamepad won't work with Skyrim  :swear:

Please Bethesda make your games compatible with PS3 style gamepads and not just Xbawx ( does this show yet more bias towards the box by Bethesda?)

If we don't get Dawnguard, just throw in the crossbow for free. That was one of the main reasons I was going to purchase Dawnguard.

They got two entire expansions with a third on the way; nobody cares what they'll cry about because we got it worse and always will.

Hopefully an update comes soon. Many of us are probably just tired of waiting and anxious for some solid news.

We won't get an update when we want it. They usually blindside us with a "coming soon" tweet.

Being on xbawx i honestly think it'd be a nice gesture to give them something for the wait. However, all of Dawnguard or even a refund for the game is extreme. Not having DLC did not take away from the vanilla game, and waiting for DLC doesn't take away from the gameplay itself. Also, it doesn't matter how much they charge for it, people will buy it anyway. Boycotting it if it is $20 is just a stupid decision because of how long you all waited for it.

Please don't take this as resentment or contempt. I'm simply stating my opinion.

Made an account just to agree with this haha. Boycotting the game is just a dumb idea, and makes it obvious an entire fanbase is ungrateful of Bethesda's work.

I would praise PC makers if they made game pad's for pc similar to PS3 or Xbox controllers. It's my opinion console controllers should be used on consoles not on PC. Then again I have actually had 2 PC game pads that were very similar to the Playstation controller.

36 of these threads, and still no Dawnguard...
At least Bethesda made a Twitter comment a while ago...
And here I was hoping that I would be playing this last August.

Well if you need me I'll be back playing Oblivion, because seeing/playing Skyrim gets me slightly depressed....

Dawnguard for the PS3 will be superior than the Xbawks version because Bethesda took their time to fix every bug in it.

Agreed, that's what I tell everyone. It can only be Dragonborn.

I am so grateful that Bethesda lied too me. I understand quite clearly that lying is a lot of hard work.

I highly doubt it.The bugs are practically a tradition in TES games so we'll have the same bugs as the Xbox users.
...and then some.

Well they say the world will end on December 21st 2012, so maybe Bethesda is quietly sitting back and hoping that it is true lol.

That is about as much trust I have in them at this point even though they say that they are close to releasing stuff, whatever that may be because they won't tell us just yet. Still I am a little more positive about the whole thing, than I was before, because of the announcement.
But as I said in the last thread new content for PC and PS3 could mean pretty much anything. For obvious reasons PC can't get anything new except for Dragonborn, unless they are given a dlc that even Xbox doesn't have. New for the PS3 could be either Dawnguard, Hearthfire, Dragonborn, something that Xbox doesn't have or it could be any mix of the mentioned.

If they only release either Dawnguard or Hearthfire or even both of them by the time the others get Dragonborn, then I still won't be pleased because then we can get another long wait before we get that one. The hype is pretty much over for both Dawnguard and Hearthfire and a lot of people already know what the content is even though they haven't played it.
