Bethesda has, and always will, hold that special place in my heart as the preferred developer in my eyes. The only game I've truly been upset with is New Vegas, and they didn't actually make the game, Obsidian did. So with Skyrim, and of course Dawnguard (Delayedguard as it's now being referred to occasionally.. as to why, I have no idea seeing as there was never an established date to begin with.) they have my full support. BUT, I am upset with how this was handled on their end. As a player, I understand how some companies have to keep their mouth shut on certain things, especially when dealing with M$, but as a customer.. I feel I'm entitled to at least, "Uhh... really, we have no clue when, in all honesty. Sorry guys." Even if it's the same bs, every other day.
For this being released on PC before PS3, I really cannot form any solid opinion. From what I've picked up, porting to the PS3 is like trying to water in the desert. Not happening without a large amount of effort, yet I am a little impatient. I understand that Bethesda wants to do some qualoity control but c'mon, with holding an entire DLC because some people may have an issue? I've always been told, and pretty much agree that it is impossible, not matter how hard a developer tries, to iron out every single bug. Having 100 testers vs. 1,000,000 Players. Bug are going to pop up. But let me clarify, I'm not upset PS3 is last, (Came with the territory of being a PS3 Gamer.) I am upset at the reason, and the post they made as to why.
Will I buy Dawnguard? The day it comes out. But I'll be damned if I don't do my part as a loyal customer as voice my dissatisfaction either. Please Bethesda, you have a legion of customers who WANT to give you their money for a solid product, all you need to do is listen just a little.
