If they delayed the game for the sake of one platform, many would be pissed. And if they release a game with a note that they are holding back a platform to fix bugs, the useres of that platform would be pissed.
You cant win.
Something tells me they
could win if the official statement wasn't: "We are making sure the game is perfect before release, isn't that incredibly considerate and noble of us?! You should buy more Bethesda products to thank us! And let's not forget all the free patches, user mods and DLCs we support! Yknow, all the things PS3 hasn't gotten! You're welcome, fans, you're welcome for ho awesome we are!"
but rather:
"Sadly the PS3 version is still buggy to a point where releasing it in this condition would not be acceptable. We understand the frustration with the delays for PS3 and we're working hard to get them all taken care of. Our sincerest apologies to our PS3 fans, we'll try to have more news as soon as it becomes available."
I mean color me skeptical, but major game-breaking PS3 issues have existed at LEAST since New Vegas. It's been 2 years and they still can't figure out how to design a game for PS3? Skyrim's initial release was buggy as hell, and they STILL can't go into Dawnguard knowing full well that PS3 is an issue they need to be ready and prep for?
