PS3 Release for Dawnguard #33

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:46 pm

Summer, it's all good. We're just having some fun with the DLC content we do have for PS3, at least I am. Nothing against you guys, you all do a good job I'm sure.

I, I just feel indifferent now.

I had began feeling indifferent long ago but, now it's just why bother. I don't really even have much of an interest in continuing on this forum anymore lol

It should have been added but we are too busy to get everything right this day. It means nothing except we didn't have the time. Goodness...give us moderators a break. We've going as fast as we can. :ahhh: :ahhh:
Its cool, and thanks for responding.

I your answer will hopefully stay the conspiracy theories about thread numbering.

again, tyvm.

Haha, no one would blame ya man. I'm indifferent too, but I do still love this game and want to play it. Of course, the price in frustration and such isn't worth it and if you're indifferent about it that much, than the price is no longer worth it to bother.

Oh damn man, give them a break already! lol...

Doesn't really matter what number they put next to it unless they're trying to mess with the Vegas betting lines...

I figured I would share this with some of my PS3 friends. A repost from another thread.

The situation has become so pathetic, that I all do anymore is chuckle at it. I would say that I no longer feel anger, but then again I don't think I ever did. Disappointment, disbelief, disgust...yeh. I still feel disappointment, but it's way far down anymore. At least I'm having some fun with the Skyrim DLC for PS3.

don't bail yet, I just joined this party not long ago and I'm actually more entertained than the actual game at this point

I don't really see what the point is in keeping the score of the threads. The result for this thread will be the same as the one of the thread before that, and the thread before that, and the thread before that.

If we do hear from Gstaff in the next few days, he's likely to just say "We're still working on 'content' for you guys, but there's nothing else to say," or "I don't have anything new to report today."

I spent all weekend waiting and hoping following the blog post on Saturday, only to be sorely disappointed yet again - they could at least tell is if/when they expect to release the 1.8 patch to us, Louis Letrush was funny at first but now he's harassing poor old Shadowmere

Well, if 1.8 is largely just a prep patch for the DLC and history is any indication, we'll be getting 1.8... around 80 days after the 360 gets it. At least that was the window between the first 360 users getting the patch and the last of the PS3 owners getting it.

I'm unfortunate enough to be in Europe and last to get everything :(.... guess I could twiddle my thumbs with some more level creating on LBP2 while I wait... or scrimp up some pennies to buy AC3

I'm guessing it's safe to go ahead and watch some Let's Plays of Dawnguard, yeah? I was holding out hope that we'd eventually get it, but that's been pretty much extinguished.

Anyone want to start taking bets on when we'll next hear Pete Hines or GStaff tell us they're still working on it? My guess is about a month after Xbox and PC get the next DLC.

I created a custom class I call a Cryptwalker.

Cross between a rogue and necromancer.

I haven't quite figured out the HMS splits, but so far I'm about 4/2/2.

Primary skills: Archery, Conjuration, Illusion, Alchemy
Secondary Skills: Sneak, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, Enchanting
Tertiary: One-Handed if you wanted, but I play a Khajiit so if I melee I'm unarmed.

Essentially this character uses a lot of summoning while sneaking (until you can cast invisibility) or using invisibility potions (Luna Moth Wings, Nirnroots, Charnaus Eggs are a few of the ingridients...I believe there is 5 total iirc), and once you've created some Illusion/Conjuring havoc from afar, you use archery attacks w/poison if necessary.

The other thing to remember so that you don't become OP is not to invest too heavily in enchanting maybe? I haven't figured that out yet, as I'm only at about level 10 with this char. I wear light armor bracers and boots (imperial) while I wear mage cloths and hat. You really want to focus on looting some of the ancient items imo, at least that's what I want to do because my specific character wants to reach out to the dead and use their ancient powers.

I just made a Weapon Master. He will master two-handed and singal-handed perks as well as Sheild Blocking, Archery and Armorer as you can make weapons...

Here's a more interesting question--At what point does Bethesda themselves or more likely, Sony give up the idea of even thinking about publishing a GOTY ediction of Skyrim for the PS3. Oh wait, I'm sure even that will get a 30 day wait for the svck up to Microsoft. Complaining here isn't going to get anything done my friends. I believe there's only 2 places to complain and I believe this side has clearly decided that banishment is their answer.

I have to admit I badger Tweet Hines and GStaff on twitter regularly - usually get ignored but...... gives me something to do

It's like pissing yourself in a pair of dark pants - you get a warm feeling but nobody notices

Well, when you've gone through 34 threads as many as you have with no answers I believe for everyone's sake and for Bethesda as well they would like to see the outrage disappear from where they are trying to do business. I get it. I'm going to pose the questions in the forum over at Sony. Badgering these people isn't going to get answers. Maybe Sony will.

I'm seriously starting to strongly dislike Bethesda. I saw the Dragonborn trailer today, and it just looked sooooo amazing. And then I see "Set to be released on December-something on Xbox Live", I just blew a gasket.

I'm never buying a Bethesda game new, only used. And that'll be the Game of the Year edition, so I won't have to buy DLC. Screw you Bethesda.

I've done this. Haven't spoiled everything, but I've watched a fair way into it.

I remember once i beat Skyrim i played for a while longer and got bored. When i stopped playing i had 112 hours of playtime on it. When i heard they were releasing a DLC i got extremely excited. I finally had something more to do! I saw it everywhere but nothing said it was going to be XBOX exclusive. When i found that out i was extremely angry. Then when i saw that "Hearthfire" was releasing i said "maybe this one will be on PS3" NOPE. I was very disapointed. As a huge Skyrim fan i hoped for more to do. Now i hear that they are coming out with another DLC and i hope that it is on PS3. I know that 360 players pay for LIVE and this is probably the reason why the DLCs are XBOX exclusive but I think that if these DLCs were released on PS3 Bethesda will make TONS of money off of them. I know that i will buy them right away. PLEASE Bethesda PLEASE release these DLCs on PS3. You wont be dissapointed!

Does anybody know why PS3 users are getting the standard 'We're still working on it' response?'. I mean is it a legal thing to protect Bethesda from legal reprecussions, like as an example if they said 'It'll be here in 12 months' and 12 months came and went they could get sued, or is it more of a trying to protect the Bethesda rep thing, or is it just because they don't give a frag about PS3 users?

Is there a method to their madness or is it just being a d-hole for the sake of it?

Yup. Used Bethesda games for me from now until the end of time.

This is simply absurd. Bethesda, you have burned so many bridges here it isn't even funny. As a consumer, I feel slighted, scorned, and, as much as it pangs me to say it, conned. I would expect this from some seedy character on the streets of New York with a "fair" game of Full Card Monte, but not from a "reputable" company such as you.

Regardless, whenever I think this, I remember that you are simply an extension of Robert Altman--not exactly the poster child for morality and reputability.

In any event, I am done giving you money. I work too damn hard for it. Now, if only everybody on here would do the same, we would have some sort of leverage. Until that day occurs, my friends, and you realize that this company is taking you for a stiff ride, nothing will happen. Hit these bastards where it hurts--in the pocketbook. I challenge you all to this.

I have deleted posts encouraging forum disruption via spamming topics and warnings have been issued. I suggest that you don't do that because disruption of the forum in such a way can and will result in warnings, suspensions and bans.

Summer, lets assume that each person who does that is an angry consumer regarding this situation. Banning them would likely mean Forum genocide.

Also, you can hide all the boycotting/petition posts you want, but that's silly and childish. Just my opinion.

This actually made me laugh.:) Can you imagine walking down some side street in New York and out of the shadows you hear this 'Hey man, you wanna buy some PS3 Skyrim? Just have a little taste man!' and then from the shadows appear Gstaff wearing full on bling with the gold grill and everything and s/he is like 'Yeah man this stuff will get you high as fark! You wanna ride the dragon man? Well you can't but you will soon, we're working on it...'

Hahaha
