Some other relevant information:

It has been http://www.bethblog.com/2012/08/02/dawnguard-ps3-update/ that the PS3 version will be delayed a bit as they are still working to ensure acceptable performance on the platform.

Gstaff, on 30 August 2012 - 06:52 PM, said:

Earlier in the month, we provided an update on Dawnguard's status for PS3.

It's been a few weeks, and we wanted to make sure everyone knows where we're at with Dawnguard. Skyrim is a massive and dynamic game that requires a lot of resources, and things get much more complex when you're talking about sizable content like Dawnguard. We have tried a number of things, but none of them solve the issue enough to make Dawnguard good for everyone. The PS3 is a powerful system, and we're http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1413248-ps3-release-for-dawnguard-thread-23/# to deliver the content you guys want. Dawnguard is obviously not the only DLC we’ve been working on either, so the issues of adding content get even more complicated. This is not a problem we’re positive we can solve, but we are working together with Sony to try to bring you this content.

We wish we had a more definitive answer right now. We understand the frustration when the same content is not available on all platforms. When we have an update, we will certainly let you know. We deeply appreciate all the time and support you have given us, and we’ll keep doing our best to return that.

Additional information from Pete Hines in response to Dawnguard:

"Yes, it’s just doesn’t perform well in all scenarios. Some folks would be fine, some would not.”

One of Bethesda’s top PR execs, Pete Hines, (who holds the position of VP of PR and marketing), tweeted to a question that concerned the release date, saying, “No, we will not release it if we can’t get the performance to an ‘acceptable’ standard. Our stance on this has not changed.”

According to Gstaff http://www.bethblog.com/2012/10/04/hearthfire-available-on-steam/comment-page-1/#comment-278242:

Friday, October 5, 2012 at 10:57 am:

We haven’t given up. We’re still working to see what’s possible.

Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 10:15 pm:

Our team is still working to make PS3 content available on PS and doing everything possible to make it a possibility.

I'll post my last post.

Bethesda is like Cell, and us PS3 players are like Vegeta charging up his Final Flash, the longer Bethesda waits the more time we have to charge the blast, until we release it. If they had told us early on that we are not getting the DLC we would have gotten mad and our blast would have done little to no damage. But they have waited so long now that our blast is going to [censored] [censored] up when we release it and they are in for a world of hurt.

I see they've stopped with the thread counting now - are we being rolled back to thread #1?

Musta had a Dragonbreak. Or maybe they feel that adding numbers to the threads isn't doing Bethesda any favors when it comes to seeming capable at doing their jobs...

Thread # what again? 33?
Bethesda why not give us an update? I understand the need to build the hype train up for Dragonborn but considering everyone outside of 360 probably won't get it this side of Christmas what's the point?

This is truly ridiculous now but just as I predicted. 3rd DLC released with no information on PS3 DLC.

So how does everyone feel knowing every other system will soon have some moderately broken content to add onto their moderately broken game while the PS3 community is stuck with a completely broken game with no broken content to add on? xD

Btw this is apparently thread 33, not counting the threads that existed before the PC had gotten their DLC

Technically we may be on like 40 or 50 for all we know lol

Then I remembered "Oh I wait, I play on PS3....I'm not going anywhere soon.
At this point we might as well go "Elsweyr" with our money. They obviously don't give a damn about us.

I encourage everyone not to post in here instead make a new thread everytime you want to ask something related to PS3 DLC. Flood this forum with threads until you get an answer

I'm so annoyed at this point that childish things like that are considerable to me. So I agree with this. We should do it.

I think we'll be lucky to see it this side of the GOTY release.

I still have some hopes that Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and eventually Dragonborn will be released for PS3. Bethesda must have those hopes as well, because they know just as well as we do that we'd only get madder if they stopped trying after making us wait so long. They aren't pursuing the strategy of staying under the radar, hoping it will fade away, either; they just announced a new DLC. Doing so would be a dumb move if there is the PS3-section bursting with complaints every day.

I still have hopes.

I lol'd at both of these, and feel awkward catching a DBZ reference. I was excited at first about getting DLC and was even okay with the wait, That is until I got caught up on the horror story that is Fallout 3 GOTY on the PS3, I kinda lost hope after reading into that. Since discovering Borderlands GOTY (Yeah I know I'm a little more than late on this one) I've only checked the forums like once a week for news and I can't even be bothered to be mad about it, I find it both sad and funny, but at the same time I love TES and will only drop money on working DLC. The only way I will trust it's workig is through the reviews of the other Step children on the PS3.....

So i am having a hard time coming up with new ideas for my toons anyone got any ideas? I have played a warrior,assassin,mage,mage/thieve and a monk.

I created a custom class I call a Cryptwalker.

Cross between a rogue and necromancer.

I haven't quite figured out the HMS splits, but so far I'm about 4/2/2.

Primary skills: Archery, Conjuration, Illusion, Alchemy
Secondary Skills: Sneak, Pickpocket, Lockpicking, Enchanting
Tertiary: One-Handed if you wanted, but I play a Khajiit so if I melee I'm unarmed.

Essentially this character uses a lot of summoning while sneaking (until you can cast invisibility) or using invisibility potions (Luna Moth Wings, Nirnroots, Charnaus Eggs are a few of the ingridients...I believe there is 5 total iirc), and once you've created some Illusion/Conjuring havoc from afar, you use archery attacks w/poison if necessary.

The other thing to remember so that you don't become OP is not to invest too heavily in enchanting maybe? I haven't figured that out yet, as I'm only at about level 10 with this char. I wear light armor bracers and boots (imperial) while I wear mage cloths and hat. You really want to focus on looting some of the ancient items imo, at least that's what I want to do because my specific character wants to reach out to the dead and use their ancient powers.

Maybe they havent announced it for PS3 yet because the 1.8 update hasnt come out yet for consoles. Thats the update thats rumored to fix the problems with the DLC. Once that update comes out we'll probably hear something.

As much as i'm getting annoyed, i agree. Not losing my mind til that patch hits and DLC isn't disabled.

Oh you're quite welcome. I love custom class making.

You should have seen my last one: Master Craftsman. You would think they are OP, but because so much is invested into crafting and only a couple combat skills that it balances itself out. It's definitely a cash-flow build...not that you'll always have a lot of cash, but you make and spend a lot because you're constantly improving everything in the shopkeepers inventory and selling it back to them.

I will say this about the custom class making: They typically start out weaker in the beginning when you really mix up the skills, so some trial and error is to be expected with the combat style. I know it's called a Cryptwalker, but really your a Crypt-crawler because you're sneaking almost all the time in the beginning because you're not even a glass cannon. Once you get the hang of the complexity of the combat style, it's A LOT of fun to mess with people and creatures.

I have deleted posts encouraging forum disruption via spamming topics and warnings have been issued. I suggest that you don't do that because disruption of the forum in such a way can and will result in warnings, suspensions and bans.

I can't bring myself to watch the Dragonborn trailer. No point getting excited for something I'm not going to see anytime soon.

Also, of relevance to the topic at hand--the owner of one of the GameStops in my town has apparently taken all Skyrim copies off the shelves. People can still get the game if they ask for it specifically, but they're keeping the copies behind the register. I'm not entirely sure why he's cutting into his own profits here, but I'm not complaining :P

failing that request can you please inform us as to _why_ the numbering is dropped?

I figured I would share this with some of my PS3 friends. A repost from another thread.

I dont think that "Dragonborn" will be released a month earlier for Xbox 360 :

1) They already had 2 timed exclusive DLC's and Kincet for the Xbox 360 owners.

2) Christmas holidays and sale, its the time were many players buy games because they have more money get the game as a gift and also have the time to play.

It's funny. A couple days ago my wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told her (jokingly) I want Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and the upcoming Dragonborn for Skyrim on PS3. She said ok. (I honestly don't know what I want, I'm always too concerned on what I'm getting everybody else).

This morning she asked me about those items saying she can't find them anywhere or any way to buy them, not even through my PS3. I had a good laugh about it.

The situation has become so pathetic, that I all do anymore is chuckle at it. I would say that I no longer feel anger, but then again I don't think I ever did. Disappointment, disbelief, disgust...yeh. I still feel disappointment, but it's way far down anymore. At least I'm having some fun with the Skyrim DLC for PS3.

It should have been added but we are too busy to get everything right this day. It means nothing except we didn't have the time. Goodness...give us moderators a break. We've going as fast as we can. :ahhh: :ahhh:

There I've added it. Now I should remove all the "what does it mean if they didn't number it" posts because they just became little more than spam. I have no time for that. Conspiracy theories usually don't amount to much.
