PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #5 : V - Skyrim

Personally, I'm already deciding how to spend the $20 I would have spent on DG. I think it will be released eventually, but not in August and obviously the summer will be over then and I'll be investing the small amount of gaming time left into some of the games coming out this year, mainly Assassin's Creed 3.

Looks like a fun game.

So does dishonored. But that's published by BETHESDA so I won't be getting it until my 360 is fixed. No more bethesda and PS3 relations for me after dawnguard. That will be my last buy with them.

I doubt they will release dawnguard next week unless the rest of the world will be getting the 1.7 patch on tuesday(?) anyone know? but other then that i would imagine if they were going to surprise us with dawnguard they would have kept quiet instead of saying the "when/if" They at least told that there was news following up to the pc drop.I just hope we get it to be honost

they have already startes working on a kinect version for 360 and its not even out on ps3 come on bethesda get your priorities straight :swear:

I'm guessing 1.7 will come out next week for Europe, and Dawnguard will come out the week after that, which is a shame 'cause I wanted Dawnguard to come out before school started.

What I find most intriguing is that the guys at Bethesda "supposedly" made all that extra content shown in that popular SkyrimGameJam video in just one week. How the heck can't they FIX Dawnguard for PS3 in two weeks?

Not really a apples to apples comparison. The features need to be ~~written~~ / coded for the PS3, a different architecture from Xbox. WE already know they are not that proficient in PS3 coding.

Also that they created these things all within one week is unlikely, probably took them that long to format the concepts just to make the video. If they added al the production time together though it might be the equivalent of weeks worth of time by X amount of employees. The pessimistic part of me also says some of these features ( like arrow kill cams )were dropped for whatever reasons, prior to the game going gold. Their re-addition now is a sweetener, to focus on, rather than what Bethesda had missed before, and now needed to patch.

And the fact of the matter is that a top tier company like Bethesda would be able to throw enough money to a programmer or programmers to code for any system. And yes... that includes the PS3.

I'm absolutely dying for that new set of Dawnguard Heavy Armour, it looks incredibly. Hope we get it shortly.

Exactly, I just realized I go back to school next Monday, not this coming up one, and I will not have time to play Dawnguard, so Bethesda [censored] up on this one, not that I am mad at them. I understand they are having issues, and I can wait, but I will not be able to buy Dawnguard until I have time to play it.

Yeah, castle Volkihar has tons of coffins . . . and you get bonuses ingame if you are a vampire and sleep in them!

Well if were considering bedrolls to be doggie beds I feel bad that's the only thing my Housecarl can sleep on in Proudspire. It's like I'm calling her a dog...

Yep its kind of cool. And it gives you some magic resistance so that's a plus.

I too hope for dawngaurd on tuesday but im putting money down it wont. For one, theyve already announced what will be in the PSN store update, and no dawngaurd mentioned. Second, there hasnt been an update on the ps3 version in a while making me think its worse then they thought, or thirdly, they just like watching us suffer.

Nah jk, its also possible, someone said this along time ago i forget who, that theyre delaying releasing so that the ps3 has the LEAST amount of bugs. Kinda like a "We're Sorry" present. Its unlikely i know, but meh.

On a brighter side, tuesday releases Darksiders 2 on the PSN! I wont be picking it up though. I have bills
