I can agree with that, but still even though he is VP of PR still just lay off of him for a little while. Dawnguard won't come out any quicker unless they figure out what the key problems issues are and their causes. Truthfully, I think what needs to be done is that the key problems that are occuring in Dawnguard that is preventing from working correctly need to be known by the public *without* releasing any proprietary information. If we knew what the issues were, maybe we as a community can help out and figure out how to fix the issue. I think what most of the problem is is getting dawnguard to work with the ps3 hardware and encryption system. Every other mainstream console on the market today (WII, xbox360) does not have the level of encryption that the ps3 has. Combined with consistant updates and otherwise hellacious programming issues in order to get it to work, the dev team must be having a nightmare.
Sorry if i come off as blaming Hines for the delay of the dlc. Its not his fault at all, hope that clears that misunderstanding.
What i AM blaming him for is his apparent attitude towards ppl asking him to do his job and the way it is helping to inflame this situation.

That is a link to an article i found just googling 'Dawnguard PS3 news'.
I've never been a PR guy, but i've had to release many a statement to customers over the years and i can say without a doubt answers like "I don't have an answer or an update" are woefully inadequate. I don't think ANYONE is asking for a step-by-step, hourly update on what is going on at Bethesda HQ replete with schematics and the like. But a weekly, 'Hey guys, this is what's what' is not too much to expect.
As to what the root problem is, that's kinda the point of the anger from some-no one at Bethesda seems to know. Or at least they aren't telling anyone else.
