PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #7

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 4:19 pm

I support Bethesda, despite the long wait. Even though there hasn't been any sort of news regarding the status of Dawnguard since the delay announcement, I can still wait patiently. Mostly because I have things (game-wise and home-wise) to tend to that will distract me until Dawnguard is in the Playstation Store. From what I've seen in the forum, I'm one of the few vocal PS3 owners that hadn't encountered a serious bug that couldn't be fixed with a quick reload. I'll probably run into the same deal with Dawnguard, so I'm still content with the wait.

On the other hand, I understand the others who are more dissatisfied in Bethesda's lack of communication since the delay announcement, and others who demand a discount or bug free DLC. I honestly would not mind a discount, but would I expect one? No. It would be bad for business. Bethesda can't make it all bug free because they can't guarantee every system will run it properly (then why would some people pointing out the game breaking bugs they run into frequently compared to the others that haven't ran into little to no bugs?) Now what would be cool, as a sort of token of appreciation specific to the PS3 owners, would be Skyrim/Dawnguard themes and avatars that come with Dawnguard. Xbox can have it's exclusivity, PC can have it's mods, and my PS3 will look BA. But again, I won't expect it, but would be greatly amused if it did happen.

Until Dawnguard does come out, I'll still try to roleplay my character, do my chores at home, maybe even exercise more. I feel content to wait for the DLC, and will purchase it right when it comes to the store.

Yeah, It'd be cool if they gave us a theme for free or some in game content like an extra quest or two or sets of armor and weapons or something like that. They probably won't give us any compensation, but no harm in wishing.

Haha the reason is the track record. I'm sure they will release dawnguard, but hearthfire? Probably not.

They've delayed DLC's for like a year before, then refused to release further DLC's after the first initial release of a DLC.

I'm expecting a good few months.

+1 here, the only glitch I encountered was the water freezing glitch and that was onlt once, other wise it was smooth for me.

I'm big into BF3 with my mates at the moment so my waiting for Dawnguard is a pretty easy one.

Don't know what you are wanting to start, but it is going to be out on the PS3. Look at their last statement, heck, the first post in the thread. The only reason why the Sony label isn't stamped on yet is because Dawnguard hasn't came out yet for the PS3.

Drink the kool aid to your hearts content..but not once have they said anything to suggest there working to make it available....as a matter of fact what they did do was point out they never said it was ever going to be avalible.

I am looking forward to playing dawnguard sometime ,but i dont think we'll get it for a while :( which is a shame cause Besthesda has made some gr8 games but unfortunately they all have some bugs or glitches, i play other games and i dont get any bugs or glitches to the extent besthesda's games do, Fallout NV was 20 pounds when i got it 2 months after release but buggy and laggy that much it was unplayable, then the patch came out which fixed most the bugs.

And not once since the last announcement they gave us says they are going to just keep it Xbox and PC only. It would be a bad business move on their end to deny the 1/3 of the platforms they made the base game on, and even worse that they didn't say otherwise in almost a month since the Xbox exclusivity was over. Even Gstaff posted a response simliar to mine in another thread regarding the lack of a Sony stamp for the Dawnguard forums. Don't be trollin'.

I have no idea why I keep coming back to these forums. I keep expecting Bethesda to actually give us a reason to sit around and wait. I see no reason so I guess I should just move on. At least Guild Wars 2 comes out next week. :)
