PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #8

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:36 am

yeah, you' missed completely my point unfortunately........and you know why ?
because your only interest is to have dawnguard for ps3 as soon as possible - and even if hines were the best pr in the world on this forum the situation would have been the same with the same people complaining about something

i'm not a bethesda defender,i try only to be objective and i'm still sure that the lack of communication for someone its only an excuse to release their anger and frustation against bethesda, hines or whatever don't give them the answers that they want

life isn't so simple unfortunately, you've to gain your desires - or adequate yourself to the offer as a consumer
I understand what u r saying but I don't understand why u r posting it, everybody on the forum is scratching their heads wondering when DG will come out and is posting guesses of when it will b released som ppl r mad and post their feelings of dissapointment som ppl r afraid tht we will never get it or when we do get DG its when skyrim goty edition will be out and they post to get answers, but y r u posting this? to say hey u complain about silence but Im guessing really hard that ur just mad tht u haven't played DG yet, since u already said u hate this subject and tht ur not defending beth Im so confused on y r u here?

I'm just gonna c/p the following which, while only a signature, answers your question i think. Would say more, but i guess last time it was considered to be an attack of some kind and was removed.

I'm aware of my defaults, and this is my major strenght
More depht with better and plausible moral choices/consequences in the upcoming Skyrim Dlcs, please.
Dawnguard its ok,good additions, fabulous locations and a great follower - this is the way to pursue, but with more depth, new lands to explore and fresh contents in terms of magic and combat system - uh, and less bugs hopefully

I see this being post so much "Bethesda should just give us info" No. That is not how it works. When Mass Effect fans want info from Bioware, Bioware will not give any info until they are ready to. When Call of Duty fans want info about COD from Treyarch, Treyarch does not give any info until they are ready to. The same goes on and on for every single game developer and every single group of fans. Fans will always beg and plead an demand info, and developers will always remain silent. Bethesda is no different. Bethesda fans are no different. You are not being ignored, you are being treated with the same professional silence that the entire game industry treats customers. Please stop martyring yourselves, you are not victims. You are customers and you are being treated like customers. If you are willing to spend 60 dollars on video games, and countless hours on forums complaining about video games, then do yourself the service of learning about how and why the video game industry works the way it does.
sry frank don't agree with this I agree the guy who at least wants Bethesda to check in with us tht is all Im saying, cuz it might b a year wait till goty edition, PS3 users has always been 3rd tier to Bethesda we just don't want another year of silence and your saying thts professional. no it is not I agree however tht if they shouldn't tell us something without knowing for sure if its true, as far as exact release date but not complete silence we hav too many questions and complaints about their broken buggy games

@frank white I understand what your trying to do. you want to educate us but u realize yu are doing wht only Bethesda can do they should be educating us we already asked them why is this bug different from the other platforms, we asked them why were they were satisfied with xbox version tht has game breaking bugs, but not satisfied with PS3 version. these questions can't be answered with we will release info when we hav it. just understand this is a very uncommon situation. wht company supports console wars to this extent that everytime they release a dlc PS3 version gets stalled for a year.

Can't we all just find something else to fill our spare time with? I know PS3 owners really want to play Dawnguard, but frankly, in the grand spectrum of things, you aren't missing much. Really. It's good, but building up all of this tension and hype is just going to leave you disappointed no matter how good Dawnguard is. Don't spend your time on here bickering about it, and go enjoy life. When it releases, it releases. Just my two cents.

How about we just drop this line of personal bickering and just get back to the speculation and theorizing. :poke: Gets us nowhere bit into a flame festival. The next flame fest is scheduled here for the year 2100.

Oh it may seem like that, but i'm doing plenty of other things actually. Doesn't take but a few min to catch up reading the thread and making posts when i feel like it.

Also i really am not all 'gimme, gimme, gimme' about this. I been saying since all this started, here on this forum and elsewhere in comments after articles, i would just like some real info on where everything is at. Not borderline rude tweets from a guy who gives the impression he'd rather do ANYTHING but his job, not an ambiguous statement released almost a month ago; some real honest to goodness stat reports-business to customer.

I mean i have no problem with waiting waiting for much of anything. Shoot i've been reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series since i was in grade school. I'm 34 now, that wonderful man has passed on, and i'm still waiting for his notes to to be assembled for the final installment. And i'm totally fine with this waiting in no small part because from the get go when i was a kid, there were always little bits of info about the series popping up. I short overview of the next book here, a sample chapter there, interviews with Jordan; common demoninator-REAL info of some kind was always being released.

Anyways, will check back later as is becoming habit. This all took maybe took maybe 5 min to type as i continue waiting for a business call incidentally

Well... I don't really know what else to say for you guys.

Although I do agree with the post a bit back saying don't hype it up too much because it will disappoint you. Some people loved it some people hated it and they had their reasons. You could be on either side. Just to throw this out there for the VL wannabes, it's too tall lol. It's not necessarily cave/house friendly, can't fit through the doors.

When it does get released, it will still have its bugs just like every other time Bethesda has put off PS3 DLC.

I'd recommend that PS3 die hard fans of Bethesda to invest 100 bucks into a graphics card for their computer in the future. Don't need to play every game on ultra settings, PS3 graphics have already been knocked down for game performance xD

haha just read that Poland is actually still waiting for DG too on PC. So PS3 players arent alone apparently.

Although I'm sure it's for a completely different reason.

This is starting to turn into an urban myth...

I mean, dafuq. How can the responsible personnel at Bethesda are so blind-sighted? A lot of angry fans are pointing their fingers at them and yed they do absolutely nothing! Their motto must be: "We make amazing games and publish it. Want to complain about something? Do as you wish, because we don't give a [censored] to what you think"

Take as an example Bioware. I do not intend to cause a debate about "X company is better than Y company, because of W reasons" They may have made some mistakes and stuff, but I intend to emphasize their PR department's attitude. They made the game with a ending. The majority of the public disliked Bioware's intended ending for the Mass Effect trilogy, and Bioware make a DLC that adds even more ending possibilities.

The point is: They could have ignored this at all. If you didn't like the ending, your problem. We made the game with this because we thought that was te ideal choice. Deal with it. Instead, Bioware listened to the fans and created this unplanned "DLC" for public appeal.

But Bethesda's case is different. They just dont care AT ALL about us. Take this as an example: The last post the mods made about Dawnguard was August 2. That is almodt a month! About PS3's 1.7 patch, they said it was going to be released two weeks ago. It didn't, and the mods had the audacity to break the "1 month radio silence" on the PS3 subforum just to "announce" that european users would have to "wait until the patch goes live". I say THANK YOU, CAPITAIN OBVIOUS! But regarding Dawnguard, they aren't even posting anything about the PS3 version. Damn, is it so hard to say IF they are ACTUALLY working on it? It is that hard to say the TRUTH??? Damn, I can assure I wouldn't even be mad if they said it is going to launch december 2012... but what makes me feel like this is that I need to enter this damn forum everyday JUST TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY. And this is now going for months.

Sorry, guys. I know everyone is tired of seeing this kind of "rant posts" on this topic, but I had to say this. I just hope, from the bottom of my heart, that at this moment someone in Bethesda is reading this. They can't be serious by treating customers like dogs. This must be some joke, I want to believe. Bethesda has just pushed the boundaries of customer disrespect. She was my most beloved company, for real. I just feel that all the time I spent playing Skyrim, the PS3 Collectors Version and the Skyrim, OST I bought, all the time I kept waiting since 2006 for TESV... Bethesda have just stomped in it and spitted in my face.

Sorry for the WOT, but I felt I had to say this, even if everyone already did. Sadly, I guess I'm just another lone voice among te crowd...

haha so it seems everyone has come to the conclusion that this thread is a broken record, and like a broken record once it's played for long enough the listeners simply become deaf to it.

Not a good direction to go cause that means people are beginning to give up again.

well i really don't blame anyone for giving up. this whole thing is bs, in my opinion. i am thinking about giving up. but i won't until dawnguard is release or my money that i am saving for dawnguard goes down lower then 20 bucks. whichever comes first. & with the Me3 dlc coming next week & the wwe13 fan access pass coming out sometime before October 30th they better it out soon.

People who give up out of spite, disappointment, or stress, are less likely to return. Thats the down side.

Theres also games like AC3 coming out xD
Looks like alot more fun than the other ones.

My point of view is, games scheduled to release months from now have a release date.

I don't expect dawnguard for PS3 to release saying oh it will be out in a week from today. No, I expect the same thing really. In a while we'll get a release date, and it'll be months after the day information was given, since this isn't even a finished product.

Imagine if Bethesda was playing with people in an experiment. Trying to manipulate stress to get people more and more interested and believing that if they timed it right before everyones breaking point when they released it, everyone would be obsessed with buying it xD

Well i am getting both Wwe13 & Ac3 ( witch both come out on the same day yeah smart one Thq ).
but thats not the point the point is. those are the things i'll get instead of Dawnguard if they take too long. wwe13 pass for 10 bucks allows me to download all there dlc for free & more. but anyway back on topic.
i have one last hope that Dawnguard maybe released by late september or in september if not, oh well i am not waiting any longer & if dawnguard is released sometime after i give up or just in 2012 itself, then i'll get it when i get it & thats when i get the money again. simple as that. people still waiting for the patch 1.7 people still waiting for dawnguard ( few are not just on ps3 ) in my opinion is this the worst dlc release mess i've ever seen. - Againstallodds14

Bethesda is in full stall mode, isn't it obvious? They want us all to drift off and go find other things to do. They got the big bucks when the game was released. DLC is a more marginal ( profit wise) commodity, and in the case of the PS3, the margin for profit may even be non-existant, given the coding issues of the base game.

A vintage catchphrase from a bygone decade "WE DON"T CARE -WE DON'T HAVE TO" (Ma Bell) Bethesda has very little competition for their niche in the video game market. BIG HUGE /KOA were the closest, but they proved short lived. (Shame too, super high quality game, especially for a first release) Bethesda releases an ES game about every 5 years. Thats a long time for memories to fade, and for anticipation build ups ( I wanna new one, whenzit coming?) to take their place.

It'll be no problem for them to wait out the buzz from their current hornet's nest. In 3 months time, "Hey everyone, Look at our new "sparkly" (FO V) It's coming out on 12/13/13 (Friday the 13th) and U KNOW U want one. So the cycle repeats all over, and money is taken.

Ah well at least Europe is getting some news.

For some good for others bad, just hope you don't get the bugs.

Some people had to uninstall the patch to play, when I used it personally I was fine but I don't tink my game files are large like most the other people's.
