PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #12

Yes. But Tweet Hines? has already told us they solved those issues long ago.

And he is still telling us https://twitter.com/DCDeacon/status/241583045176590336 Yeah, so terrific they have dropped supoprt.

This is exactly what has me most pissed off at this point. They KEEP lying to us.

Well Josh Sawyer is a Project Director trying to answer fan questions and complaints after the lights have been shut off on his project and explain the "why" of it when it comes to certain bugs not being fixed, giving a lengthy answer that gets into the technical portions of the problem.
Pete Hines is in charge of marketing and simply says "we fixed it" when fans reference the same problem's potential influence on a soon-to-hit-the-shelves project.

Kinda clear whose word should be taken with a grain of salt, in that scenario.
But yeah, not saying "ur fault for trusting him!11!1" but rather just saying I agree that this problem has clearly been around for a while.

How would they have a beta if they can't get it to work correctly to begin with and the beta was to fix minor bugs not frame rate issues and stuff like that.
Beta aren't really meant to be in working condition also pete hines siad the DLC working for some but not other so the DLC does in some degree work so Beta is possible

It does make u think wat kind of condition the dlc is in. Me thinks the more content they add to skyrim the more it worsens the ps3 experience (just. Hunch)

Still it won't fix the problem what about the people it won't work for? They're still left in the dark. And what if they release a beta and they come to the conclusion that they can't fix it and then Beth will have several people that have a "broken" beta.

My bet would be it's like the base game itself some get lag other don't. I think yes it would worsen the ps3 player experience because it's add more memory and more memory means more lag.

I really hope DG is polished if it does hit PS3. Between the smoke and mirrors concerning it working for some and not for others, I am at an impasse. I certainly love the series and was tickled when the DLC was announced. After waiting for months and maintaining patience my interest is waning. As I've said before-I am not bitter or angry, but I hope it does hit PS3 soon. Just please don't bypass DG and offer HF instead. I care about as much for adopting kids as I do for the mounted combat: none.

Not to be mean, but the PS3 is the weakest of the 3 systems you can play Skyrim on. PC is obviously best, 360 is great because HEY the guys who make computer software make 360 as well. And then you have PS3. It has no sustainability. PC doesn't need much help 'cause they can always go and upgrade it. 360 yea, you only pay 50 a year for net, but that 50 a year from EACH subscriber helps them to keep software up to date and keep the system going stronger. What does PS3 have? Free net, that's cool. Doesn't help keep your system going or pay for people to update it. People buying games helps, but that's something you do for every console/pc, so that's not much of a boost. PS3 doesn't have anything to sustain it, and their-in lies the problem. It's not Bethesda's fault they can't work with a machine that simply isn't up to the task. It's just not strong enough to do it.

Are you ignorant or just being sarcastic? PS3 has had software updates fairly regularly since it's creation.

Not strong enough to do it? I guess them running games that are more graphics and physics intense than Skyrim is just an illusion.
