Well by the behaviour some of the more dedicated fans have been showing, they don't deserve tuppence.

Sorry? Your grammar isn't to my taste, are you from a foreign country my friend? Spain, or maybe Brazil.

And yes, I have played all of those tremendous games on my Playstation Three, and it only backs up my claims that the gaming system is well..a bit of a dog to develop for.

the bold part may be right but after 3 or so games they should of gotten it down to where it has issues but not game breaking...

If Bethesda thought the ps3 couldn't handle Skyrim they could have made the choice to make it a PC/360 exclusive. They would have lost millions in sales though, and obviously they chose the route which brought them more money. This was not their first time working with the system. Bethesda themselves were saying "The ps3 and 360 versions have reached a good place of parity". Obviously when that turns out to not be the case, they are going to take some heat.

Grammar has never been my strong suit, nope america and for the record I am not your friend.

the only games that have the most issues are bethesda games on PS3. they had time to learn how to port games properly to the PS3, they did not use that time at all instead they do a port job and assume everything will be peachy.

Well a lot can happen in three years, even in the same game engine, and with this brand spanking new creation engine of theirs, there was bound to be problems.

Well to be fair they are a business, their aim is to make money, but in terms of backlash, there would have been a lot more controversy if they hadn't developed it for the PS3, maybe as much complaining as this thread has produced, if that Is possible on this earth of ours.

Ah, so are we completely changeing the reasons why you've been angry at this fine company? first it was because they did not heed such skills to make a game on the Playstation, and now it's how they have been handling the situation?

Please make your mind up, I don't seem to be getting any younger.

I'm sorry, but I'm not that type of fellow, I'm married, and I will not have that type of sissyness projected at my person.

Now away with that.

I do think every platform should be fully supported. If they ever canceled DLC on my platform (PC) I would be super pissed off.

That said, the PS3 is a weird machine, and they likely didn't expect it to be AS problamatic as it was. People cannot compare it to any other game, it's a different engine. I doubt they are trying to make people mad intentionally.

svcky situation.

GG bethesda.

No Dawnguard for PS3 means no more Bethesda purchases for me.

Might seem like an empty threat and I know none of you guys care about the around 400 dollars I've put into your games over the years (only started with Morrowind) but whatever.

He is right. You can't just release inferior product to rip us off and treat us like crap.

Bethesda doesn't care.

see original game content on Day-1 for PS3. Yes. Yes they can. Because we still pay for it. I like to believe that they are not doing this maliciously or out of simple greed, and that it is simply that they're being cheap and/or can't afford people who can actually code for the PS3.

Because that's important. You can't just hand a guy who does XBox/PC coding and say "okay now re-write this code for the PS3." If the code architecture is different, then the coding language may have even a few but critical differences in parsing of syntax or any other number of functions, and that single difference could cause utter chaos. Coding languages do not always translate well, and you can't make a man who knows Spanish speak Swedish if he doesn't know the language, no matter how much you try.

At this point I begin to put more validity into the idea that they're waiting until after Dishonored releases to announce that they can't get Dawnguard to work and are just moving on to the next DLC after Hearthfire because "this project is absorbing too much of our coding resources at this time and our company must be more concerned with moving forward at this juncture. We will, however, put together a team at a later date to revisit these problems as they design the Game of the Year Edition so that all of our players will be able to enjoy the content."

I'm not gonna rage about it, I'll probably still buy it when it comes out, survive my girlfriend constantly raging about how it's even more broken than the first, and love it anyway. I'll still buy Dishonored, and I'll still wish I could play ESO. I'm just clinging to the optimistic hope that maybe the third time is the charm and positive change will result from all of this.
