PS3 Release for Dawnguard - Thread #31

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:08 pm

dude...what do you think I'm playing right this second, hell I even have the PSvita game.

The games actually more complicated than I expected, took me forever to join the order, and the environments are much larger and more interactable than I expected.

And not one lag or crash, when playing for hours straight xD

With games like these, people are gonna forget about dawnguard quick.
Only more games to come xD

No one wants to buy the game everyone's already played and dawnguard eventually will, be just that. The game that you're the only one who know's the story and all your friends have played through it 15 times lol

i will inform people everywhere i can about gamesass history on ps3. i won't get tired of repeating it and bringing it (back) into peoples minds and hope that as many people as possible will boycott their new game.

Interesting note: The t-shirt and the PS3 port = same framerate.

I have noticed a recent slow down of angry posts on the net, not counting forum threads, about the Skyrim issues on the PS3.

AC3 is coming out, quick on the heels of Borderlands 2, a new Grand Theft Auto game is coming soon, not to mention the holidays are coming up. I'm sure there will be enough new releases to keep the PS3 community busy. Aren't we supposed to be getting a few of those "wash, rinse, repeat" wartime FPS games? Call of Modern Warfare Duty Big Gun Sniper Shot Grenade Boom: Kill the Newbs Then Laugh at Them Edition or something?

I think Bethesda is just playing the waiting game and hoping people forget about Skyrim. Stall long enough and, in theory, the rage will subside and people will forget about the issues or get tired and bored with keeping their rage up. Bang your head against a wall enough and it's just human nature to give up after a while.

I've notice that I am more apathetic now than I used to be. Sure, I'm still extremely angry about the defects and issues with the base game, a little angry about the lack of DLC, but I'm starting to realize that Bethesda simply doesn't care about the PS3 community. If they did, then they would have learned years ago that an Xbox 360 port will not work. Well, the only thing I can do is care about Bethesda as much as they care about me. That just means I will always be "working on" buying one of their games, but never actually do it. My wallet will have moved on to other projects, completely ignoring anything with the Bethesda name on it. I will say that I understand the frustration Bethesda is experiencing over the lack of PS3 sales while taking a game from another company to the checkout counter. Either that, or I will shove a Macintosh user with $5 at them and say, "Here, this will work just as well as a PS3 sale."

Don't worry, I will still stand right beside the rest of the PS3 community on these boards and side with them in any action they take against Bethesda. I'm just wanting to be done with being angry at a company that just doesn't care and is more worried about damage control and saving face for the media than they are their paying customers.

As long as giving-up involves not purchasing any game which says 'Bethesda' on the box then people can go right ahead. Heck, just not buying them new is enough really.

Nothing with the Bethesda name on it, new or used. With used, sure Beth doesn't get any money from it, but I would still get the frustration of a broken game.

AC3 doesn't appeal to me and I'm just not that into Borderlands.

GTA5 doesn't come out until spring iirc.

I might get Black Ops 2 though. Been a while since I had a major FPS. Not since Modern Warfare 2 which I traded in within 3 months.

I'm also waiting for Dust 514. That game is going to be epic, or at least has the potential to do so. Everything in the beta has been awesome. Never has a FPS had so much customization.

Maybe we will get a Chrismass gift of a huge update and the release of Dawnguard plus Heartfire. They are holding back because they want to surprise use, lol...

Borderlands is actually a great game, it's just that in order to see it, you have to get past the Fyrestone missions at the start of that game (to me, it's nothing more than an extended tutorial) doesn't help at the start of the game you're severely underpowered.. But once you get past Fyrestone and into the other areas - the game really opens up and it's a blast to play. Also, it works flawlessly on the PS3 - no freezes, lockups or anything.

I never said it wasn't a great game. Same thing for the AC series. I love a lot of aspects of those two games, I just don't get into them and I never could figure out why for Borderlands because it seems so up my alley. Maybe it's because I see it as a parallel to Fallout and I really enjoyed Fallout and once I play a certain genre in a series, it's hard for me to switch to another title.

If a PS3 version of the third DLC doesn't come out with the others, the outrage will spark right back up again.

Dude it was like the same thing with AC3!

It was a freaking long, pretty much tutorial. I spent hours before I finally got to where you thought you'd be starting out! lol

Learning to climb trees, easdrop, bunch of bar fights, heck you don't even start out as connor. You spend like an hour or two as someone else, then you get to play as connor, then start a several hour tutorial lol

Seems like this is gonna be a LONG game. So, Im stopping in here just every now and then xD

Just adding another "log on the fire" to show that we are all still here, still watching. still waiting, still getting nothing, and still extremely pi$$ed off!!!!!

Who posted about the entertainment attorneys in the earlier threads? Any new information on the growing discussion for a class action lawsuit? This really could cost Beth millions of dollars in damages and legal fees if it gets organized the right way.

Maybe we should start giving Beth some announcements of our own...

The "premium" edition seems like a total cash grab. hardcoe collectors will buy it and people who haven't bought Skyrim will buy it for that price over a used copy because of the goodies that come along with it. And, it's funny because the t-shirt will be free advertisemant for Bethesda, promoting the game even more.

It's a double edged sword, because if the person doesn't like the game they can burn the shirt in effigy. Sort of like how fans of professional sports teams will burn jerseys of players that spurned the team. See Terrell Owens after his departure from the Eagles after the 2005 debacle.

You should check the Bethblog for today. The answers GStaff is being forced to give are just maddening.

I just hope they dont make a "Seperate Ps3 DLC" that would be lame.
Elder Scrolls has primarily been a Xbox game, If you play it on a console that has nothing to do with microsoft, you have to expect some sort of disruption.

Only by one game: For Arena, Daggerfall, and Morrowind the lead SKU was PC but for Oblivion and Skyrim the lead SKU was 360.
