The difference is there, as is always the case with PC versions. Consolers may not want to admit it, but the PC will have better graphics, and spin it however you like, that's a fact. No idea how someone can look at 360/PS3 screens, then PC screens, and say they do not see the difference.

And all of you said the Console graphics were on low. This does look better but not much different than the consoles. Mods will fix that though.

mediasneak.com have posted a few screenshots they say its running skyrim on ultra the cave glow looks nice.

1. He listed facts. Hes not an elitist since the things he listed ARE in the PC version. He did not bash a specific platform (unlike you by calling him a pc elitist)
2. I can, others can not, as you can see from the 'looks the same' comments. You cant notice things like higher fps or fast loading times on screens.
3. He put much more thought in his post than you did.

@Fame, first one with the bandits looks pretty damn good, looks like they gave the characters better overall textures then the landscaping, which is fine.


One thing to remember also, Bethesda knows that there will be a HUGE modding community for this game, they also know that its almost 100% certainty that someone will put out one or more texture pack mods. I am sure they design around this knowledge. Why put 1000 extra man hours into textures and art when the fans will do it for free, its common sense and a good business strategy.

Anytime someone dares mention something about the PC having better graphics they get an immediate, "HE'S AN ELITIST, OH MAN WHAT AN INSECURE JERK!!"

Fact: PCs usually have far superior graphics, why should that make some console types all defensive? That doesn't mean the PC is the way to go for everyone, not by any means. Some of us just value the utility and power that a PC gives, others value the comfort of a couch and simplicity of a console, or don't have the money to get a decent gaming rig (though they are not nearly as expensive as people on this forum think).

Also, those of you that think you can pass judgement on the graphics situation from seeing two random screenshots have no idea what you are talking about. I can't count how many games I have played where the screenshots look so-so and yet you see it in action and it is just stunning. That is the same type of thinking as seeing leaked video on a low quality screen, with piss poor quality video, and terrible upload compression and passing judgement on the game having "terrible graphics." Looking at the 720P versions of the devdeveloper series gameplay clips, those look just fantastic imo. I don't know what they were captured on, I don't really care because they look great. If I can go better than that on my PC then great, if not, oh well it still looks awesome.

High to ultra diference in the details, what we need is a 2600 screens resolution on ultra to be able to compare.

I think the big diference is indoor and up close.
Vegetation seems to llok much more like vegetation and not plastic plants you see in companies halls.

Horse-crap. I've seen the PS3 version, and it does not look anywhere near that good, it's not even possible on the hardware the PS3 uses.

Why should the PC get better graphics anyway? It's the same game, and the console players pay the same amount of money for the game as we, the pc users do. It's not my fault, or others, if you went and bought a Custom computer just for Skyrim, it just isn't. This is the right way to do it, and i apploud Bethesda for it.

LMAo, the PC version of every game the last 5 years has always looked better Skyrim looks considerable better, READ igns review that state the PC version looks WAY better.

Screen shots do not do anything justice, seeing Skyrim on PC on max compared to consoel is a pretty big difference.

Yeah, dumbing it down for a significant portion of their funs is "the right way to go".

BF3 seems to have managed it well. The game looks next gen on PC, and it still looks like on of the best shooters on the console.

My point is, if they wanted to make only you guys happy, and make even less money, they would have made Skyrim with Battlefield 3 graphics. But they didn't. So get over yourself and your pc, please.
